Personally think good, there is nothing to be gained from fighting serial loser Chisora. Higgins comments about fighting someone "rising through the ranks" is a worry though. I don't see the point in him going backwards https://www.nzherald.co.nz/sport/news/article.cfm?c_id=4&objectid=12205901
This would have been really bad for Chisora anyway. He just got KTFO by Whyte and Parker would have given him a sustained beating over 12 rounds.
I don’t think it’s very likely.. but I’d quite like to see Parker fight Joyce. Think that would be a very interesting fight.
Parker's career is fizzling out now. He already reached his peak level and is now going to steadily decline in terms of level of opponent and income. Chisora would be a bad fight for him, because he is good enough on his best day to beat Parker...and a loss to Chisora would take an even further hit to Parkers earning potential at a stage where he can still earn decent money. Its clear Parker isnt prepared to find a new coach and new set up, which is really his last and only chance of getting back to the top of the division. So its a long steady decline from here on out for him.
I don't think Parker is on the decline at all, he has just lost two fights against top 5 opposition (one of which he would have won if it went on for another round or even another 30 seconds as Whyte was finished by the end of 12). Parker shouldn't be crticised for fighting top opposition rather than protecting his record and fighting hand picked journeymen as many other top ranked HWs do. I'd back Parker in a potential fight against anyone in the division apart from AJ, Povetkin and Usyk.
Considering how they both performed vs Whyte and Takam I doubt it would of been as one sided as you suggest. Parker would obviously be favourite but it would of likely been a competitive fight and stylistically Chisora is a bad style match up for Parker, he'd have him on the back foot a lot where Parker is ineffective.
It's a shame because Hearn was putting on a really nice Heavyweight bonanza for this card: Whyte - Brezeale Parker - Chisora Allen - Browne Price - TBA Hunter - Takam Think Usyk might have been tentatively lined up too.
Well Parker looks like he's at a bit of a dead end right now. I guess another low level opponent down here in NZ next?
He has options as he's signed to Top Rank. Top Rank have Fury, Pulev and Jennings, any of them would be good fights, Fury being obviously the most intriguing. A fight with Jennings was almost done before the Whyte fight, maybe that could happen again.
You are one of the biggest trolls in this forum. Probs the last time I reply to your troll comments. When was the last time Parker KO'd ANYONE????????? And all of sudden he is going to KO someone like Chisora, a guy who has only been KO'd twice in 38 fights. It's more likely, Parker get's KO'd. You silly clown
This was the only fight that made sense for Chisora imo He's on his way out but has one or two good fights left in him? What does he want to achieve in this last few? Parker can take up back up somewhere, even if he loses, it's more oppurtunity vs anyone else he fights. Would have been better for whatever legacy he has as well to beat someone like Parker.
