Enough people were picking Degale to win that Eubank gets credit from me, and probably should to anyone who thought he'd lose.

Given the majority of people thought that Eubank would lose against De Gale, he deserves credit for the win.

The fact it was against a completely shot and punchy shell of a fighter is neither here nor there. Eubank beat what was in front of him, and has passed a big test in his journey to become an ITV PPV boxer. There are some very juicy fights out there.

I wouldnt be suprised if his next fight is against BJS at 168. This would be a good contest. How good is BJS now that he no longer uses that nasal spray?

“Old” gets lazily thrown around on this forum all the time. What people mean really is shop worn.

Usyk has just turned 32 himself but is seen as being in his prime whereas loads of people call Degale “old” as if he was in the same school year as Luis Ortiz! Strange logic really.

Eubank took the fight out of a fighter who at times in prior fights took the fight out of himself. Degale has always had trouble with consistency/focus and this time Eubank jumped on him and beat him up badly, particularly inside. Jr. has improved his close quarters punching and straightened out his right hand a bit.

Eubank still has problems with accuracy and has a tenuous grip on his emotions. It's funny how often emotional fighters lack accuracy. He looked marginally improved and this has to be counted as a solid win on some level. It wasn't an elite win but it was a win.

Degale looked like a shop-worn fighter that has more pride than confidence and that never sustains a fighter in a fight.

I predicted Degale to beat CEJ. For people to not give Chris any credit for winning shows a lack of respect for the sport.

Chris should get credit for not lunging in and for picking his shots. That's something that he hasn't done since I've seen him turn pro.

Ok this Degale is finished and any talk of beating Canelo or Smith is unrealistic but he did ok.

junior boxed well last night, I'm impressed but not surprised. Anyone who watched degale's last few fights knows he's already done before this fight. Junior got no chance against smith though

The majority of people did not think Degale would win though, check out the polls on this forum. He deserves credit for what he did - beating a shot Degale.

BJS beats Jnr more convincingly than before if they were to fight again.

No, he beat the one who fought Truax. DeGale had been slipping for a while, but Jack took something from him.

I give Eubank credit for winning but Degale was also more shot than I thought, if Degale doesn't retire and wins a semi important fight and looks good then I will say, hmmm maybe Eubank deserved a little more credit. Good for him though he did his thing and won, and won wide to me.

Eubanks win is no better then trauxs but his getting way more credit it's a joke really his only world level wins are to fighters that have seen better days don't get me wrong his tough but just to basic to get anywhere at world level
