There might be a little, very little surprise.
Lopez might fight an albanian named Edis Tatli next.

I'd prefer to see it a couple years down the road but if it can happen now why not? Sometimes when you wait too long things happen. Guys move up and they never end up fighting.

I GUARANTEE 100% Lopez and Haney will not be fighting next. If Lopez' next fight is against Pedraza I think that ia potentially a huge ans catastrophic mistake by Lopez and his promotional team. Lopez has as much natural talent and potential as any fighter in the world and is aa gifted as any as well. But he has fought nobody that ever had a chance of posing him even the slightest of problems let alone beating him. Pedraza is an extremely experienced, skilled, and crafty battle hardened veteran with a long and illustrious amateur career where he consistently fought and usually beat the best AM's in the world in his class and has faced great opposition as a pro, won 2 world titles in two different classes, is game as all hell, and is now seriously underrated because he lost twice -- to two of the best and most talented fighters in the world. Hes not just gonna roll over innthe face of adversity -- provided Lopez can present him with such and hes gonna fight his balls off from start to finish. He is taller, longer, ranger than Lopez and he is more skilled, has better footwork, and is a more accurate fighter with better timing and accuracy than Lopez and he has shown all that against WAY better opposition than Lopez. He also has better ring IQ, generalship, and big fight experience than Lopez.

His loss to Davis is an enigma, hes usually excellently prepared with great gameplans and fights very smart against all his opponents besides Davis. I have no idea what happened there or what was going through his head, one of worst gameplans ive ever seen. And he is usually one of the best fighters at keeping a fight at his preferred range, fighting long, and using his height and reach to his advantage, and with his timing, accuracy, punch Arsenal, ability to set up his shots, and leverage on his long punches he can surprisingly hurt/KO world claas fighters many thought he couldn't.

Lopez has never faced a fighter 1/4 as skilled, talented, experienced, and talented as Pedraza, especially one with the length and footwork to keep the fight at long range.

Lopez 100% has the natural talent, power, and athleticism to beat and possibly KO Pedraza, but the odds are horrendous in that actually happening. Also, Peraza has shown and proven far superior intangibles, heart, and ability to adapt and make in-fight changes against top class opponents. Lopez has never faced anyone who has forced him to show, prove, or even display he has any of thos traits even in the slightest.

This would obviously be one of the most intriguing fights coming up in boxing and possibly one I would look forward to more than almost all others. But unfortunately I think its way too big a step up way too early In time for Lopez and I think he would get savagely beaten, stopped, embarrassed, and maybe even quit on his stool mid rounds.

I can't underatand how any harfcore or lnowledgeable fan could favor Lopez in this fight especially at this time. Pedraza has become so criminally underrated at this point in time that it's downright disrespectful and if this fight happenes hes gonna show the world the difference between a raw prospect with elite ability and a true two time two weight world champion.
