Thought Mccarthy was gonna be fairly decent until the Askins defeat which he done well in to see out the 12 rounds.
Hopefully can get busy now and back on track. Looking forward to this one

Not seen much of Riakporhe, just the Hyde fight that he didn't look great in, could've just been the occasion I suppose.

    Decent card

It's a terrible card for a Saturday night mate, these NXTGEN shows started off being shown on weeknights which was fine as we were getting some decent standard Saturday. Us UK fans are getting fed scraps whilst Eddie makes sacrificial lambs a lot of his stable in the US.

Agree. I also thought it was a greatly improved performance from the Sam Hyde fight. He has improved his fundamentals and had much better boxing IQ.

I think the previous performance was more to do with freezing on the big stage more than anything. More smaller venue fights like this to build him a bit.

Do he see any future for Tommy Mccarthy in the game? He doesn’t seem to be able to cope at domestic level??

Richard Riakporhe looked good, and was composed.

I was concerned at the affect that McCarthy’s body shots were having at one stage.

McCarthy looked like a fighter who had drained down to make the weight and hasn’t been living the life of a professional athlete.

Riakporhe has the kind of power that will take him far in boxing if he continues to learn and develop at a good pace.

i wrote Riakporhe off in this fight, he's looked dreadful whenever i've seen him, but he showed some improvements since his last outing. Still don't think he looked particularly good, but definite improvements been made

Has very decent skills especially body punching... but simply doesnt have the body conditioning looks like he could make light heavy...he arm punches and better strength conditioning would put a bit more arrsehole into his work and increase power.

    Good kid talented

Depends on what he wants out of the sport. He isn't no better than fringe British class.
