wow, yesterday i made a post about how mikey was going to do a lot of pivoting to spences right, or mikeys left, to create angles and take away spences left. and here is mikey, robert, and their dad working on exactly that. its almost like i know what im talking about.
lol, ill tell you what, i have no doubt i could better prepare a fighter than a lot of these dads/trainers in boxing right now.
Thanks for posting these, Chuck! The closer we get to the fight, the more excited I'm getting. I just hope it's not a blow out, which could happen if Spence clips Mikey early. I'm just a sucker for a guy daring to be great I guess, regardless of whether delusion is involved or not.
I think this is going to be a very interesting fight. Regardless of the size differential Mikey is a well-trained, undefeated, top caliber fighter. Spence will have to bring his A game. Having said that, if Spence is on top of his game, which undoubtedly he will be, he should be able to stop Mikey. Mikey wants to make fights exciting. In doing so, he will leave himself vulnerable at times, as will Spence. I would give 2-1 odds in favor of Spence with Mikey having a chance to catch Spence. It's really going to come down to how much risk Mikey is willing to take. The more risk Mikey takes the greater chance he has of winning this fight. The more risk Mikey takes the greater the chance Spence stops him. Sort of a Catch-22.
Spence can't be that big, since he has to oblige by the IBF rules. This will come down to skills. But I am still salty that Garcia walked away from 135. And Spence should be mixing it up with the best at 147. He beat Brook 2 years ago and hasn't done **** since. We waited 2 years for a fight with Mikey Garcia? GTFO.
