I saw ITV tweet about this fight a week or two ago, so assumed they'd be showing it as part of their deal with PBC. But today I read that Box Nation are getting it and that's why ITV have went quiet on it. Unconfirmed rumour at the minute, but watch this space.. It would be quite the coup for Box Nation if they do get it. They did get Porter vs Danny Garcia at the end of last year and that was a bit out of the blue, since it was quite a big fight and not a Top Rank/ESPN show, so that does give this a possibility of being true. As long as somebody's showing it over here, then I'll be happy.
If Boxnation do get it and intend it as PPV I would have thought they might have been pushing the fight hard by now, gathering more interest and hopefully viewing numbers when and if it's announced. Seems short notice 12 nights until fight night.
The utter cheek of it if Boxnation did try to ppv it. They’ve stole subscription money for well over a year now with v little quantity in return.
Ridiculous if this is anywhere bar ITV- they have the PBC contract and should really be showing this type of fight as part of that package.
All Ive seen is an old article for Spence Lamont Petersen on Boxnation. If ITV have a contract with the PBC then this is definitely on ITV. There's no way this is on Boxnation. As you have said, as long as it's on, who cares but it's got to be on ITV .
This one's a PPV in America though, this might get offered seperate to the highest bidder. Look at DAZN and Whyte-Chisora II for example. DAZN get all Matchroom's Sky sports cards but have to bid seperate for Sky Box Office shows. They have first refusal if they want it, but they declined it and it ended up on another channel. Same thing might have happened here.
I contacted ITV regarding if they were showing the Spence Jr Vs Garcia fight, and got no response, don't know if Boxnation will be showing the fight if ITV don't.
