    This guy had a very close fight against Marcus Browne. In fact, I don't understand how the judges saw Browne winning that fight. That should have been a draw, at least.

    That looks like a good fight, but why are a Croatian and a Russian living in Quebec fighting in the poorest Mexican city in Ca.? I this on the undercard?

    That's a good question... :dunno This fight is on the same day as Canelo-Jacobs, so it should be the main event (who else would want to go against that superfight?)
    There's quite a lot of "Russians" (post-Soviet immigrants) in the Sacramento area. Also, it seems the Eastern Orthodox Church is relatively strong in that area, so there should be quite a lot of serbs there, as well (Kalajdzic is an ethnic Serb). Maybe that's the reason? :dunno I guess TR executives are too ignorant to know that there are very different kinds of “Russians”.

    Really good match up, Hot Rod is tall, rangy, has good skills and he can bang. In fact, he's scored as many first round KOs as Artur has had pro fights (13) and obviously he was robbed blind against Marcus ''Weird Ears'' Browne and should really be undefeated.

    He got screwed by both the referee and the judges. Browne deliberately hit him after a slip and instead of a warning or taking a point, the ref rewarded him with a knockdown. Then he could clinch and hold for the entire fight and get the decision. One of the worst displays of home cooking I've seen in years.

    That said, this is a very good fight, with even a chance for an upset.

    On top of calling that a knockdown, he also never punished or even warned Browne for a deliberate punch while Kalajdzic was down. I'm sure someone like Direll wouldn't have gotten up after the same punch.

    lol he saw the nonexistent punch land which no one else could see which dropped (or rather didn't) Hot Rod and then he managed to miss an actual illegal punch that did land which everyone else could see.
