That fight (including the aftermath that noone thought "hey we should do something about this"...) is still hilarious and also one of the many pieces of the "why-I'm-not-that-much-into-boxing-anymore" puzzle.

Well if Hot rod hasn't been training & there's some inside knowledge? Haven't heard of him fighting recently

 

This is a big leap in competition for RK.

 

Solid ****ing fight. I wasn't expecting this.
Beterbiev might be in for a rude awakening. Definitely a though night at the office. Hot Rod is by far the best man he has faced as a pro.

 

I do think we're building to Kovalev v Beterbiev so fine..

 

Wow. Good fight. Figures everybody at light heavy is ducking Beterbiev except the guy that almost walked away from the sport because of the dirty fiasco in the Marcus Browne fight...and whose inactivity (just a handful of rounds fought) over the last three years since then would give him of all people a pass to say "no thanks" regarding Beterbiev. If he wins Kalajdzic needs to be considered the people's champ @ 175lbs..

 

Or maybe they are just banking on the love of boxing by Mexican fight fans, and hoping that they will buy $20 tickets and 50$ worth of 7$ beers. Jerry Quarry was from Stockton if I remember right, and there was a great boxing movie about Stockton called "Fat City" when it used to be a boxing hotbed.

I sincerely hope the fight goes off without a hitch. Him not being in the mix is a big disappointment

 

His entire career has been a disappointment. It's been over 4 years since he demolished Cloud.
6 years as a pro...

 

I would root for Hot Rod as well, but if he won that would probably block the Kovalev - Beterbiev fight.

 

...but then we get Kovalev vs. Kalajdzic, no?

 

Don't think many expected that either way.
Both come to fight and it's unlikely to go past 8 with that onslaught.
