Sky may very well, in the long term, drift away from boxing. But the move will be towards streaming services, and not BT. Think about how quickly things like Netflix, Prime, and for that matter the various on-demand and catch up services have become ubiquitous. It'll happen with sport. It already is in fairness.

BT won't overhaul Sky whilst TV is like it is now. The contracts are in place, Sky aren't going to end up losing much in the way of the Premier League, they're showing Joshua fights for a few years now and lets be honest; to the money men Joshua pretty much is boxing in this country.

You're right to say Sky have mastered the casual sign up. It's so easy on a Saturday to be watching something on Sky and order a PPV fight. The same can't really be said for BT.

What? If you're signed up to BT, you buy a PPV through the remote the exact same way you do with Sky. Why lie?

Sport is slightly diffent to say movies and TV shows though
    Well for me anyway

Live sports is great but replays I don't care for as live sport is all about the thrill of the moment

Something kinda dies when you watch a replay and have half an idea of what your about to see

    And if you're not?

Plus, it goes hand in hand with the general Sky/BT programming. Who, for example, watches BT Sports News?

It would just be the case that you're streaming a live event rather than downloading a programme.

Well I can only speak of my own experience, and buying a PPV from Sky and BT have been just as simple as each other for me.

    Yes I know this
My point is watching replays just ain't the same
Netflex for example you can watch as its already predetermined as to what will occur within the show you watch
Dont really matter when you watch

    Sports not so much
    Might be just me tbh

It's a win for BT as sky have basically given Khan their full promotional force with 2 knock overs and telling us he's had record viewing figures.
They are obviously frustrated he's not done the brook fight.

I think it'll do reasonable numbers over here and in the states.
I'm fully expecting a Crawford win but it'll be a good night.

Thought so. Why is he on BT then? Is the deal not his next 3 fights? Was it just 3 altogether.

The Crawford fight isn't promoted by matchroom

    It was partly initially
At the presses Matchroom was plastered everywhere

I think Sky and Eddie just though sod Amir we ain't giving him no PPV pay day for a 3 am fight and just quietly disassociated themselves
