    Timestamped.

Things have become so desperate for Sky Sports Boxing that Adam Smith has now resorted to talking about other sports to try to sell his product. Make no mistake the Head of Sky Sports Boxing, Adam Smith is at absolute breaking point; he's on the brink of a complete meltdown. You can see it in his eyes in the timestamped video above, look at his desperate glare at Kugan while he rattles off sports and events that have no relevance to boxing.

Hearn is a ruthless man, he's pumped and dumped Sky Sports and Adam Smith after milking their fanbase for some of the most outrageous PPV offerings you could imagine. Last March we had Anthony Joshua v Joseph Parker in a world heavyweight unification fight at Wembley and one year later poor Adam Smith has been left plunging to desperate depths to try to advertise David Price v Kash Ali and Lucas Browne v Dave Allen.

I read this OP and your post Cuthroat and thought it was just a case of you doing some light trolling as per,

but he did genuinely seem annoyed at Koog asking the question (maybe not angry at koogs specifically but annoyed at having to answer the question) and did go very defensive, you could see after his mini rant his heart was going and he just wanted the interview finished asap. I think there is a defo worry that he doesnt have the answers yet to fill the void of decent fighters all retiring.

Haha. It’s 100% desperation from Smith, a genuine observation on my part. I actually kinda like Adam Smith in spite of my criticism of Matchroom and Sky Boxing.

This video was hard to watch though because you can see his irritation but he has to mask it on camera to maintain his perfect media friendly on screen personality.

I bet he had to go straight to the bar for a few shots after that interview.

I dont mind adam at all, he genuinely loves the sport and to me that is the most important thing for someone in his position.

he was defo rattled at the end there, its better that he cares however. Its not overly comforting for Sky I imagine, and the bad thing is that it could affect the sport, its never good to lose promotors, viewing platforms etc competition breeds success, lack of it causes a domination and staleness. From what he said there it look like Sky are gonna focus on other avenues for a while at least with F1 being very heavily plugged. (Iv loved F1 all my life however and their coverage is decent but the pundits need upgrading IMO)

@ 16.34 - that turn of the head. Smith knows the game is up over here.

He looks and sounds like a man who knows he's been frozen out. It's no coincidence that Sky cards are getting weaker and Eddie has been taking his big guns over to the states. Going to be excruciating for Smith as Eddie rides out the remainder of his contract then jumps ship to DAZ. Well and truly shafted.

Must be hilarious being someone as rich as successful as Adam Smith when he reads **** like this written by disgruntled fanboys like deepthroat who sweeps roads for a living

What are you so sensitive about? It's a clear cut observation. The man is pissed off and rightly so. He loves boxing, he's the head of sky boxing, and he's seeing everything sky have worked hard to build slip away.

I don't like Adam Smith, he's an awful commentator. However, there's no question he is a boxing fanatic and I feel sorry for him. It's a dog eat dog business, that's for sure.

That'll be Hearn away so and sky losing all US boxing content. Where would that leave sky? Warren would hardly leave BT. Imagine sky forfeited the game.

DAZN UK would be a must for boxing fans at a tener a month. I imagine Hearn would suddenly up his game at home and the American stuff is decent. Canelo etc.

I'm not seeing the issue here. He answered the questions very sell. Boxing isn't the key subscription driver for sky sports. That's a fact.

We had a pure boxing channel in box Nation which failed as boxing alone isn't what pulls in sports fans.

Boxing supplements the major sports which are the real sub drivers.

Props to Adam Smith who takes on questions and doesn't filter what Koogan can ask him.

Not without other stuff. Box Nation being the example. Dazn launches in the UK when they can get premier league football. Without it you can't be a major player.
