Are you suggesting there might be thieves in the camp? lol. I haven't heard those rumours, or rather I have heard rumours a British trainer was ripping their fighters off but not that it was him.
Believe it or not that, was actually one of his less annoying interviews. The only way he could be more annoying is if he wore Paddy Fitzpatrick's bandanna lol
Well Frank wants it in the UK. Which he and everybody else knows can't possibly happen. The numbers would be shameful. Therefore, I smell ducking from Yarde. They know Kovalev is a US seller, and has no value at all in the UK. So they'll go into negotiations with Kovalev's team, and use the 'we want it in the UK' strategy to get them out of it. Then they will come out and say that Kovalev wasn't interested when the negotiations fail. Despite the fact that their offer was unrealistic and silly. Come on though, seriously. Frank MUST surely know this would be a crazy fight to take right now. The guy has had 12 amateur fights and 18 pro fights against nobody. That's 30 fights vs the over 300 fights from Kovalev. It doesn't take a genius to figure out who wins from a 30 fight novice and a old master of his craft.
Kovalev by brutal ko or by a boxing school. Anyway he wants. There's no way Yarde is ready for that level.
When people comment on not liking GGG because of the crap that Abel Sanchez talks, that's what this guy is doing for his fighter. Stop interviewing these fame hungry trainers. Don't mind Yarde really, I think he can be a good fighter, but world level and beating Kovalev no-one takes seriously.
Looool at Tunde comparing their situation to Mayweather. Mayweather was an Olympic silver medalist and had won his first title after 18 fights... Saw a video the other day where Yarde was reading facebook comments about him and he just kept calling everyone hates and saying they don't know **** about boxing. The backlash about Yarde wouldn't be as much if they weren't talking like they were P4P greats all the time, but fighting no-one. The Sjekloca was a great step up at the time and they've stagnated since then. How has he not fought anyone on the domestic scene? It's mad.
Yarde hasn't beaten anyone in the top 40. For him to be given a mandatory sums up boxing these days. But despite all the talk, no way will he take it until they feel Kov is near shot. There are liars in the camp.
I can imagine this fight happening in the UK. Kovalev has fought in the UK before beating the Welsh lad.
The agreement is for it to be in Russia. (Thank Odin!) Last time Kova was in the UK it wasn't really a big succes, with good ol' Terry O'Connor and the hostile crowd.
Has a date been set? If it’s in Russia kudos to Yarde, Frank Warren and Tunde Ajayi . They must be confident.
There was a proposed date, but nothing official yet. Probably get a lot of money, almost everyone expects Kovalev to KO him.
