He fought a dumb fight but didn't run & it was hugely weighted in Spence's favour. He has my respect.. He was backing Spence up & never backed down, as dumb as it was he is a warrior.

 

If Mikey went specifically into a shell he would have been stopped.


Him staying offensively responsible is what kept Errol off him. Errol just utilized his length and kept Mikey from striking him. Mikey showed tremendous mental toughness and technical discipline.

I voted Something Else and it says Please Explain, so I’ll try but it’s not easy at all.

Well, maybe let’s put it like this:
Mikey is delusional to the point that he becomes a warrior with huge balls.

If that huge self-confidence leaves him one day he will be in deep trouble.

 

I said all along he would pull out, but now i understand after learning he gets 10 mill that he would come to survive.

It was a money grab of course.
At the end, him and his team were grinning from ear to ear.

If Mikey was a warrior he would’ve already fought Linares, Lomachenko, Gamboa, all the guys he called out and said that he would beat easily over the years yet never fought. If he had done that he wouldn’t have kept his zero, hence he wouldn’t have been able to hype up this cash out fight. Credit to Mikey, he played it well and even had some people thinking he could beat Spence. He isn’t elite, never has been. Walk off into the sunset with your 10 million.

 

There's expectation and reality.

He probably thought he could win then came the reality that he couldn't.

Wasn't good enough. Money is just a bonus. And he survived because he is tough.

But he will probably kick himself for not having a good go in there.

Huge balls he called out spence and dared to be great. We need more of this in boxing. How can anyone discredit him? He didnt have to take this fight.

 

Pac had wayyy more angles and foot speed as well as hand speed against bigger guys. He was like a bee hive swarming you.

 

For those that really don't know anything about boxing, Mikey exhausted all avenues in trying to get himself in the fight.
From long distance Spence's longer reach kept him at bay and at closer quarters Mikey's punches just didn't have enough steam to
do much damage to the naturally bigger Spence.
Having witnessed the fight, I thought their skillsets were of the same level so obviously the bigger stronger fighter is going to win out in such cases.

Respect must be given to Garcia who did not fight a survival fight but simply got worn down by the bigger stronger fighter, past the midpoint of the fight that was becoming more and more evident with each passing round.
