He proved nothing to me. When you have a guy who's a skilled fighter, that happens to be much smaller, you crush them viciously. Bud massacred Gamboa, and they were only a division apart. GGG massacred Brook, a physically huge Welterweight. Loma massacred Rigo, bigger, but not THAT much bigger. Spence was in reality 3 divisions bigger, he could easily make Middleweight, Mikey is a natural Lightweight. He beat him, bully for him, but he didn't massacre him until the last 3 rounds. That in an of itself... is a huge letdown.
Manny was the one who said he wanted the winner of the fight. Manny was the one who took his big head into the ring to draw out Spence. Manny ducked Khan. Spence has ducked no one.
Manny ducked Khan Floyd ducked Khan brook ducked khan Bradley ducked Khan murray ducked Khan thaxton ducked Khan hatton ducked khan Your a fool Spence spoke gggs name and said he could beat him Keep thinking every man and his dog ducks khan
Did anyone else notice how much Spence was shifting in the fight? When Garcia was backing up a step sometimes he's walk his left foot forward into orthodox and throw a left. He started doing it in the middle rounds knowing Garcia couldn't hurt him. I've not seen Spence do that before. It wasn't perfectly executed but it worked for him.
I am more impressed with him than I thought I would be but I don't think he looked that spectacular, especially vs Mikey who was there for the money
He proved that a good big man will beat a small good man nine out of ten times and that Mikey needs to stay in his lane. The same lesson that Loma taught Rigonduex.
Spence looked amazing last night. Complete domination the entire fight. I was very impressed with his movement, his jab, and hisquickness. I don't care that he didn't stop him, because Mikey was in there to survive, not to win and Mikey is very good defensively. Hard to stop a guy that doesn't take chances and has Mikey's boxing skills. Errol out-quicked him and out boxed him. I thought Garcia could land counter left hooks over the top of Errol's jab coming in to the fight. Wasn't the case, because Errol was just too sharp and too fast and too long. Mikey asked for it and Errol put it on him. Great performance.
