is Wilder the biggest duck in history of the sport?

Shamelessly ducks Joshua and declines 100 million USD. He has to be the biggest coward and the dumbest boxer to ever step into the ring.
He prefers to fight Stevern and shot Arreola for peanuts.

Not going to call anyone dumb or coward, but this is a truly strange decision to me. Usually when a fighter steers clear of a dangerous opponent he can earn at least something in the vicinity against other opponents. In this case he might not earn a tenth over his next three fights of what he would have done with this three fight deal. If there's a rematch with Fury maybe he'll get to a fifth or a fourth over his next three fights but it is far from certain what Fury will do. Maybe he'll take a fight with AJ instead and if Joshua wins Wilder has very few good options left.

It's hard to see any reason for Wilder's actions other than that he doesn't want to face Joshua under any circumstances whatsoever.

Still don’t get why people are shocked when Wilder has been saying for years he doesn’t want to give any promoter or broadcaster exclusive rights to him. It’s the main reason Wilder and Hearn couldn’t agree and close a deal. I would’ve been more shocked if Wilder signed with DAZN.

Then we can forget Wilder ever fighting Joshua then because Hearn won't ever agree a Joshua/Wilder fight without a rematch clause. Strange how was happy to be tied into Showtime for a 2 fight deal with Fury but when it's Joshua and DAZN suddenly such an arrangement is impossible. I smell BS.

He actually wasn’t officially bound to showtime though. That said regardless of who either is signed to the fight will most likely happen eventually, but the fans will just have to wait a few years to see it just like Mayweather-PAC.

He was bound to have the rematch with Fury shown by Showtime should he lose the fight, so he was bound to 2 fights with them. DAZN is asking for 3 fights, what's the big deal in on extra fight, one which is a mandatory and he's obligated to fight anyway. Your making excuses for him and as long as there's fans willing to not pressure him into fighting Joshua, he'll keep ducking.

First his excuse was he deserved a split not a flat fee, then it was Povetkin mandatory being called after they were the ones to stall negotiations, then it was because the contract had no venue, then it was he wanted more money, etc and now the latest excuse is he refueses to be tied to any exclusive deals, despite fighting for the same broadcaster for the last 2 years.

Personally I think he wants the fight but Finkel and Haymon don't. They won't risk PBC losing their heavyweight title holder and so will steer him away from Joshua or any other fights they don't have control off to influence the decision like in the Fury fight.
