I've got Bowe at his best, climbing off the floor to stop AJ. Bowe really needs aplenty of fighting heart in this one ,he'll be caught by Joshua and at times look on the verge of defeat .But Riddick clings on to stop a weary Joshua in the final rounds .
Even 15 fight novice pre Charles Martin Joshua would blast out the like of mental midget Golata, who Bowe has kittens with. And I ain’t no Joshua fan, but he beats bowe. Lennox would soundly thrash him. Evander would be a dog fight, toss up. Maybe 60/40 based on evanders chin and stamina.
I don't know if that's fair, Golota wasn't the best I agree, but he fought Bowe when Bowe had deteriorated. This is the 92 Holyfeild Bowe
I see this different to most of you. I'd pick a late stoppage win for Joshua or Joshua points. I just can not see the man that was outboxed by and nearly knocked out by Herbie Hide will defeat Joshua.
Always tricky with Bowe in these hypotheticals. His peak was so short (essentially a couple of fights or so, really) and he was basically finished as a top level fighter at 29 / 30, the same age Joshua is now. A focused, fit Bowe at 235 lb looked like a Hall of Famer in the making when he dethroned Holyfield. It was a brilliant win over an unbeaten, legitimately great Heavyweight champion who still had some defining moments ahead of him. But in terms of size and style, Holyfield was a pretty good match up for him and Bowe's short peak means we're completely guessing at how he might have dealt with other styles at the highest level (Hide and Gonzalez ain't in that class). I'd have liked to have seen Bowe in there with a few more proven, top class Heavyweight punchers, which is something his record lacks, before making him a really firm favourite here. I agree with other people's comments that Bowe was the more gifted, natural fighter, whereas Joshua often looks like a strong athlete who has simply been instructed to throw punches. But he showed against Wlad that he's got a big heart and if Bowe isn't at his best, he could end up being taken in to deep waters and drowned by Joshua. Gun to my head...Bowe points or late stoppage. But I'm giving him A LOT of the benefit of the doubt here.

Yes. The much larger man won in the end. If you watch the fight Hide outboxed him early on, and had him hurt. The size disadvantage was too great in the end.
