And why is AJ nowhere to be seen at all in the WBC rankings despite beating Whyte, Thakam, Martin, Chisora, Povetkin, Parker and Breazeale who are all ONLY WBC ranked fighters apart from Whyte (WBA, WBO) Povetkin (WBA) Parker (IBF) who appear in other organisations rankings
He can't just make himself mandatory, and he won't enter the rankings at all because he won't be ranked by the WBC because he's a beltholder in other major orgs. Fans bring this up regularly and then point to Golovkin being mandatory for Canelo's WBC belt, despite having the other belts minus the WBO one. But that was a different situation because there hadn't been a WBC mandatory/champion fight at 160 for many years, and the WBC didn't want the moneymakers to have to fight a mandatory, so they came up with an interim belt to delay things further (a Mexican got that of course). Then against protocol he fought Golovkin who then could demand a fight with the beltholder... All in all, neither alphabet org ranks other beltholders, because they would give them a lot less control over who has their belt.
So if AJ gave up say the IBF belt would he then appear in the WBC rankings overnight or would he have to start from scratch?
He's the IBF/WBA/WBO beltholder so no... he would have to drop all majors to feature in the rankings next, which would be infinitely stupid to do. He could keep his IBO belt though.
Because the WBC will request that he first goes back in time and beats Sonny Liston and George Foreman in one night, then beat Ali in Zaire in a final eliminator before he can finally apply for position of third mandatory, two places behind Joe Louis and Fres Oquendo.
LOL. They way the boxing rankings go (and have always gone) is that if you hold a belt, you wont be ranked in the other alphabets rankings for respect of the other organisations champion. Thats why Wilder cant be mandatory for AJs belts and vice versa.
To be the mandatory, There's things you have to learn, Step one involves a name change, To something like Stiverne, Step two is rather tricky, What ranking has your man? Youll find out with a phone call, To Mauricio Sulaiman Step three is to ask Wilder, Who he would like to fight, For he won't face any mandatory, Who isn't old or shite,
It's even easier. Just officially give 50/50 across the board to Wilder and Fury, including rematch, publish this part of the contract for social media. Then if nobody takes it the duck will be impossible to defend. Truth is after the Fury-Wilder match, HearnJ know for sure Fury is back and can win and also that if Wilder can catch someone as slippery as Fury, he can very well bomb AJ out. AJ could even lose twice in a row and really hurt his 'stock'. When 'A-sides' seriously want a fight they give 50/50, Haye did it with Fury, Klitschko with Haye.
Joshua should dump his belts and become the WBC mandatory. The WBC heavyweight ratings pretty much mirror RING magazine ratings in terms of fighters. The WBC ratings include Wilder, Whyte, Fury, Ortiz, Povetkin, Parker and Pulev ... Joshua's only missing because he has the other orgs' belts. The other sanctioning bodies at heavyweight (the orgs Joshua represents) have ridiculous ratings, by comparison. Can't wait for the Joshua vs. Tom Schwarz title fight. (LOL)
You see how guys are trying to force him to overpay now, if he vacates his belts the greedy ducking will be x10 worse. They will make him run through hoops of fire to become mando, and even if he becomes mando, it will be years before the WBC call another one, and if Wilder starts picking up the other belts in unfications it could be half a decade, and even when they call it, Joshua will get A sided crazy. Dumping his belts would be the dumbest thing he could do.
CW is ran by Euros, it has little US establishment boxing politics holding up fights, as well as a lack of diva Brits/American fighters.
