Eddie Hearn confirms he has an agreement between Oleksander Usyk and Carlos Takam to face each other next in a fight on DAZN on May 17 or May 18. As of now, the Usyk-Takam fight is tentatively scheduled for May 18. However, Hearn is thinking of potentially moving the fight to May 17 in order for it not to bump up against the May 18 fight between WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder and Dominic Breazeale on Showtime Championship Boxing, Hearn told IFL TV.

Simon Kean will have a chance as I predicted against Carman. He must revenge with a KO.

Boxrec is reporting that Alexis Santos won a comeback fight in the Dominican Republic in March. Santos suffered a MD loss against Niall Kennedy followed by a 8th round stoppage loss to Simon Kean in 2017 and had been inactive until that fight. Santos's opponent - who was 37 and sported an unimpressive and puffed-up record against the locals - retired after 6 rounds.

Nick Asberry will make another attempt to get his career back on track with a scheduled early-April fight against a TBD. Asberry had been scheduled to fight in March but that date vaporized.

Darmani Rock has a scheduled mid/late April fight against a TBD...don't remember the # of scheduled rounds.

Meanwhile NIall Kennedy's camp is still working hard to make a fight with Darmani Rock happen this year.

The British Boxing Board has scheduled a bout for the vacant British heavyweight title between Joe Joyce and Daniel Dubois. This decision was followed by the abandonment of this title by Hughy Fury, which the Council had previously obliged to defend against Joyce.
Promoter Dubois Frank Warren enthusiastically responded to this decision and said he was ready to begin negotiations with the Joyce team to conduct this fight in the summer.

Joe Joyce holds the WBA Gold title and may refuse to fight for the British title in favor of a possible fight against WBA Regular champion Manuel Charr. In this case, it is expected that Nathan Gorman will be the second contender for the vacant British title.

Artem Suslenkov beat undefeated Pedro Martinez via 6 round decison.

All six rounds Sulenkov tried to break the resistance of a boxer from Venezuela. The rival turned out to be a worthy one; he kept the punches of the Russian and answered with his own. As a result, the Volgograd boxer won by decision of judges.
