    Foreman lacked gumption.

Why is this even up for debate? Foreman does permanent damage on this guy...

Braddock doesnt see the 4th round.

    He literally has zero chance.

    Zero.

Braddock is quite overrated skills wise.
He was a courageous man, a 'man's man' for all he went through.
But he won't pull a Cinderella man here.

Someone like Ezzard Charles would fare far better against Foreman.

Maybe not .. no doubt H2H Charles was far better but Braddock was bigger and had a much better chin .. either way both men are long shots at best ..

Only Joe Louis ever actually knocked out Braddock, and it took until the 8th round, and the similar sized Gregorio Peralta took Foreman to the end of the 10 rounds, and was only stopped in the 10th in the rematch.

It's pretty meaningless really, he was going into fights with injuries.

He was not a slick technician, but by the end of his career, he was a decent spoiler.

Charles was much better, but I think Braddock has a better chance of getting into the later rounds against Foreman. Braddock's chin was better than Charles's. I don't give either a serious hope of winning. Look at the state of Charles after fighting Louis, and Louis at that stage wasn't near the fighter Braddock fought.

Right, and Baer didn't try and win that fight... so we'll never know if they were right.

And Wlad didn't try and win the Fury fight.

It's funny how all these fighters with clear flaws that allow them to be neutralised, just happen not to try when against spoilers.

So Baer telegraphing sunday haymakers even more than usual was the doing of Braddock and his spoiling? Shoot, I didn't even know spoiling could get a fighter to start the fight off by smiling and grinning the entire time. There's something to this spoiling thing. Comparing Wlad to Baer and there respective performances is being disingenuous

Foreman was one of only three men to stop Peralta ,big puncher Mauro Mina stopped the young Gregorio,Pastrano stopped him on a cut eye ,and George turned the trick.Peralta had 116 fights facing bangers like Lyle twice when he was a comparatively old man for the game,Bonavena twice, and Urtain who,if he couldn't do much else, could certainly punch. Braddock was stopped twice in 78 fights.

Do you think Braddock was carrying injuries in all of those 23 fights he lost on points?
Have a look as some of the guys he was outboxed by.

Braddock was only KOed by Louis, and in the 8th round, the other stoppage was on cuts, that he'd possibly entered the fight with.

Is Braddock really outside the company of Peralta? I'm not even saying I think he'd last the distance, only I think he'd take him into the later rounds like he did with Louis.

No, but it needs to be taken into account. I don't think just taking numbers like that is a good way to judge fighters in general really. Braddock also changed a lot as a fighter over his career.
