Watched this last night. The guy has pinpoint jab, every jab landed almost....and his evasion and timing with counters is not far behind. Why is Anthony so precarious when it comes to maintaining world class? Why cant he beat transient titlists like bika and badou?
He doesnt have that thing inside him that makes a man carry on when things are getting tough or not going your way. He has a quitters mentality.
Khan in his earlier career was an achiever. Only since the Garcia loss did he start developing sudden brain failure syndrome.
he was an achiever when he was getting KO'd in 50 seconds to an unknown Colombian taxi driver future journeyman was he, an achiever when he was going life and death losing to the mediocre Lamont Peterson. Only people with low standards and casuals, usually from the same race/religion as Khan think he's anything of note. Khan's career has been a lot like Audley harrisons. Aprils gonna be a barrel of laughs too.
Khan become world champion He beat Maidana, Judah, Clottey, Collazo and has a better resume than Harrison. Its even better than Brook's and Crawfords. I dont even like the guy but when you start insulting people about their chin, faith and other things its hard to have an objective debate about anything.
Whaat? Khan biggest weakness is his rinq IQ (+ shaky shin), definitely not his heart or mentality. Thats a crazy thing to say he doesn't have a heart. Khan is (or maybe now days its better to say was) very special with his physical attributes. Not a Roy Jones kind of but still the attributes he has is very rare. His lightning handspeed and movement gives everyone trouble. If you watch the history of boxing you don't see many guys throwing that kind of combos. BUT he doesn't have boxing iq, he doesn't know how to counter or guard himself properly and gets often caught just because he doesn't know how to avoid those situations. It's kinda obvious that he is not the smartest tool in a shed, no matter if you see him in the ring or getting interviewed. His style suits best against pure boxers with less power. I don't believe many boxers could dominate Kotelnik and Malignaggi the way he did. Yes, world level boxers beats Malinaggi and Kotelnik 10 times out of 10 but he won every single second of those fights. Amazing and extremely special physical talent but a very very bad boxer. Never learnt to maximize those tools he had. If you don't see anything special in Amir Khan you are casual AF. If you think he lost against Lamont Peterson you are casual AF. And his record is not that bad, you are a little try hard now. Comparing it to Harrison's? Harrison's best win is like Michael Sprott or Danny Williams.. And yes Crawford will ko Khan. He is too smart and all around better fighter.
you need OVERALL ability to be special, he had excellent handspeed, but in all other departments he's not anything of note. He was a one trick pony with way too many flaws to ever laughably be called 'special', he's had more comedy moments inside and outside the ring than any boxer I can remember. He lost to Lamont Peterson it's a fact deal with it. And there's plenty of other fights he could have lost, Willie Limond - 15 second count. Maidana fight could easily have been stopped, Julio Diaz fight I had Diaz winnning. . Algieri fight was close. You'll see how 'special' he is in April his special glass jawed chin and terrible Ring IQ will be in full effect for about 10 minutes 'Special' is Vasyl Lomachenko, 'special' is Oleksandr Usyk, ' Special' is Mayweather and Pacquiao in their primes. Amir Khan is Amir Khan I can't believe you laughably put that word next to his name.
Ehm.. I don't know if I can say it without being rude but do you even understand what are you reading? You are not even talking with me or answering, you are just hating lol. And if you don't give any positive thoughts towards Khan it means you really are a casual or just a hater. I know Khan gets stopped by Crawford, you don't have to be genius to understand that. I said his physical abilities; handspeed, combos and movement are special. And they really are. You dont think that? You can have specific special abilities, how can you even think other way? And I already said those other abilities (ring iq, defence) are not that good and thats his biggest problem. So what do you don't understand and why are you repeating (being offensive) same things that i am already saying? Did you get it this time?
''Khan became world champion'' >>> Yes in a Sport of 17 weight divisions and 4/5 world champions per weight class, weak divisions, weak titlists, vacant title shots, robberies, corruption around 70 world champions at any one time. Becoming a 'world champion' in boxing doesn't hold the same meaning as it does in other sports. If I was to list all the poor and average fighters who have become 'world champions' I'd be here all day. Didn't know he faced Clottey!. Collazo had been retired inactive and treated for alcoholism and was nowhere near the top 10 when Khan faced him. Judah was well past it Khan was a lightweight who just after getting KO'd in 50 seconds by Prescott got gifted a undeserved world title shot in a weak division he'd never even fought in before against a weak champion where belts where getting passed around like parcels and guys like Gavin Rees, Junior Witter, Souleymayne M'baye were winning world titles. Audley Harrison was at heavyweight where an ATG in Klitschko had all the belts and was completely dominating. If Harrison had been a light welterweight I'm sure he would have picked up a title.
@Consu I don't give a **** to be honest with you, stop crying . Just because I don't rate Khan apparently I'm a 'casual' and a 'hater', no mate I'm just a realist telling the truth. I told you I agree he had great handspeed, but apart from that... he has not much at all. For example it's similar to Dmitry Kudryashov - in that he has excellent oustanding power, but not much else, So Overall I would never rate Kudryashov.
