Agreed. Looks like they’re going to price themselves out at the minute. Especially if that’s true about offering the deal the other way around and them refusing it. Then it’s going to go to purse bids and massively favour Kov and that will be the excuse to swerve it.
I believe team Kovalev when they say it was a **** offer tbh. Kovalev for the most part has always shown a desire to fight the best and has a good track record for fight good competition. No reason for me to give team Yarde the benefit of the doubt.
Yarde could end up having the best fight of any British boxer in 2019. What a turn up that would be..
Ffs they’ve only just started negotiating.....they still have another 2 weeks or so to make a deal. You have no idea what’s been offered- give them a chance to make a deal before proclaiming that Team Yarde are playing about.
I was thinking Khan. Fingers crossed he does well but I can only see it being a mismatch. Getting dropped by Samuel Vargas and failing to get him out of there doesn't bode well for a Crawford fight. Same thing could apply to Yarde, but at least he's still an unknown quantity. We could even see something like Johnson vs Beterbiev, who knows. Yarde vs Kova would be well worth tuning in for... reckon I would have to go.
But I guess a more accurate statement would be Yarde could end up having the best WIN of 2019, IF he beats Kovalev. Cause he probably has a better chance than Crolla or Khan.
That too. But Kova vs Yarde has the potential to be a great fight as well. If Yarde can hang at that level of course. The rest of our fighters seem to be taking knock-over jobs, with a couple going the other way and being over-matched.
Chill your beans sugar. Time will tell. All I can tell you is that Kovalev has a track record I trust, he will defend his belt regardless if it's Yarde or the next best contender.
