In a short interview on the David Letterman show Big George talks about wanting to face a champion like Mike Tyson. How would the older, more mature version of Foreman have dealt with a prime, explosive and vicious version of Tyson? Who would have won this?
Not sure if George pulls it off but I say this.....Older George has a better chance than Younger George.
Tyson Tyson and Tyson again .85/88 time wise ,Tyson beats comeback Foreman painfully .Its only a matter of time before Foreman gets caught by a Tyson barrage and end's up ,slack against the ropes ,with the ref jumping in fast Tyson win's RSF 5
Sure and pigs have wings. I do not have a problem someone picking 70's Foreman over peak Mike but the Old Man who ran the con in the 80/90's gets hurt bad.......he struggled EVERY single time he even remotely stepped up.........freaking Stewart /Saverese stood right in front of him and he could not put them away for 20.......a washed up Tyson beat them in less than 180 SEC COMBINED..........Glass chinned Moorer stood right in front of ohim too beating the living tar out of him until Foreman landed the lucky bomb........Holyfield used him as a Heavy Bag for 12 and Foreman had to wear Sunglasses for two weeks straight because of the beating he got from a moderate puncher. Razor Ruddock was a way more dangerous and accomplished fighter than old Foreman and a diminshedTyson took him to the shed. Foreman fought exactly TWO top tier fighters in his comeback, was beaten from pillar to post in one and landed the 11th hour lucky punch while receiving a beating again. Luckily for Foreman the fight never materialized because the slow as molasses old man would have received a epic beating.
Wow! If I combine this analysis with $2.06 I can buy a 24 oz coffee from Wawa! I am really not concerned with what predictions you do or do not have a problem with, and frankly could care less.
Tyson lands damn near every punch he throws in this, Old George had a rock solid chin but his face after a few rounds would be a total mess, doctor might step in and stop it.
If the ref allows George to do his usual roughouse tactics and mike cant stop him within the first 4 rounds, Mike would be in some serious trouble.
The problem I see is the strength of George. He would not back up and he would be landing going forward. Mike hard good defense coming forward, but backing up? Not so great. I see George stopping him in 3 or 4. I think Mike was greater head to head, but George was just a bad style for him. Physically he would have highlighted Mike's weaknesses.
Do you really see early 90's Mike teeing off on a slow, stationary opponent with no head movement and diminished reflexes and that opponent still having the strength after a few rounds of terrible punishment to be able to push Mike back ??
