I don't think you're getting what I'm saying. Larry Holmes, Ali, Fury and Lewis all have something in common, they are all very good at boxing, fighting at range and being able to completely outbox another fighter.

Now obviously there's a difference in levels between Fury and the other three but if you had to pick a fighter who is tailor made for a fighter like Lewis or Fury it would be a smaller fighter, think Christian Hammer or Chisora especially an unskilled smaller fighter like David Tua.

TBH Wilder would probably win an extremely wide decision vs. Tua. I just don't see Tua ever even landing anything semi-significant vs. Wilder. By no means is Wilder a good boxer and Tua definitely "would" stop him if he landed but Wilder has good legs and does know how to play keep away, and he has proven he can do it for 12 rounds. And 2, you don't need to be a good boxer to outbox Tua

    Wilder 119-109 over Tua

Like Charlie z? That's one of his best wins, after a 50 year old Cuban and fat Stevern.

Wilder doesnt have the discipline to stick Tua at the end of a long jab and keep him there for 12 rounds - which is what he probably needs to do in this one. Wilder likes to launch bombs, most of which miss. I see him hanging that chin out once too often and it getting clipped. Tua KO8

Wilder is far better than Tua in every department other than his chin, Tua was not a world class heavyweight.

Tua certainly had some limitations. Especially, once he got too fat. But, he was an Olympic medalist with almost 50 knockouts. Including 4 knockouts over former or future titleholders. He was unquestionably a world class heavyweight.

It's all about the whiskers. Tua starches that glass jawed fraud EARLY, just like he did Ruiz.

Easy win for Tua. He stalks Wilder for a few rounds but eventually lands something big and Wilders chin won’t hold up.

Let’s not make out Wilder can outbox Tua for 12 rounds.

Only the very best tall men could keep Tua off for a whole fight. (ie. Lennox).

The rest all gave Tua at least one opening - and he smashed them out.

I think at some point Wilder would be GONE.

Lewis pumped the jab all night, never let Tua get set,i dont know whether Wilder has the discipline to be able to replicate that but even though im from NZ and love Tua,i think this would be a very hard fight for him. He would get hit a lot imo.

This forums version of Tua probs would have walked Wilder down and KO'd him brutally in a couple of rounds. Stood there with his chin out while Wilder ohand rights just bounce off it .

The real life version of Tua would have lost a wide UD not risking taking a shot getting jabbed all night while throwing wild shot every now and then cause he had no real idea how to get inside...

I usually favor height and reach, but in this case I think Tua could survive the big bombs, and his body shots would cut Wilder in half. Still, it's an interesting fight with the height disparity, so I'm fine with anyone who picks Wilder.
