Whyte is the mandatory contender for Wilder`s title so why is he fighting Breazale? This content is protected
Id prefer Whyte-Breazele winner Mandatory for Wilder. I've picked Breazele to win in a few fights where he was the underdog. (Mansour/Izu) Breazele has 0% chance vs Wilder. It's going to be like Shrek vs a Skilled Samurai. I'm hoping they stop the fight before DB takes too much punishment
Shrek would win, and get the girl. Unless you’re saying Breazeale is the skilled samurai?!?! One thing is for sure, Breazeale is very hittable
Does anyone deserve anyone in boxing? Does miller deserve Joshua Does Usyk deserve Joshua Does crolla deserve lomo Does Keith deserve Pac-Man Who cares... stop whining
Whyte isn't the mandatory...in fact his own WBC silver belt prevents that until he fight a REAL sanctioned final eliminator. ( At least that's according to their rules ???)
Usyk is a Olympic gold medalist and the absolute champion in the CW division so yes by rules stated he is entitled to Joshua for a championship bout. Looking at ALL of Wilders title defenses its safe to say then ....your statement applies, who has done anything to deserve Wilder ? However Breazeale is the only guy to EVER win a final eliminator to get a match with him but they sanctioned a Fury fight ranked 5 out for years for no apparent reason but to try and get wilder leverage against Joshua and that back fired. lol
Well that explains why Breazeale got the title shot ahead of Whyte, which is something I wanted to know. Back to the thread question - I'm being very objective here and I think Whyte deserves it more based on having fought more in the last two years than Breazeale has, and also the types of opponents he's had to prove himself against. However the WBC have their rules.
Shrek survived dragon fire and has super human strength...hes also a master at adapting to fight unfairly ...using weapons to his advantage. Standing 7 feet tall and a few hundred pounds ?
Well a lot has happened since then but WHEN Breazeale won the mando position Whyte was ranked 3rd not 1. He had just fought Helenius October 28th 2017. That's 4 fights ago. Breazeale defeated Molina a month after that but the ORIGINAL fight was Stiverne that was scheduled before anything concerning Whyte. We know wilders history on mandos ...that's why the fight is happening now. lol Who deserves it more would be whyte IF Breazeale wasn't already in that position before Whyte was contesting it , which there was nothing to contest, he was never in that position and is just crying over something he could have fought for a second eliminator with Ortiz then opted a Joshua fight but then declined that ? Hes all over the place at this point . lol
No. Breazale doesn't deserve the shot but he got it and the best thing boxing and Whyte can do is get on with it and deal with the consequences. Life and boxing isn't always fair.
Purely on who they have fought no Whyte deserves it more. But Breazeale was given the next shot and give the WBC their dues they have kept their word, mainly cause they get big wads of cash to let donkey fight who he wants..
To me both Whyte and Breazeale are Wilder's best opponents he has ever faced so far . Sorry everyone but a clearly over-hyped Ortiz and 20% Fury is nothing to brag about for Wilder . I do think Wilder is overestimating himself when he said Ortiz was the toughest fight ever and likely to be ever (he said that prior to the Fury fight) . That tells me everything about Wilder's mental fortitude , the signs are there for Wilder to be taken . He is taking Breazeale too lightly and severely dismissing Whyte . Honestly I do think Breazeale does deserve this shot , and I can sympathize somewhat with Whyte's claim to it , my understanding was the WBC Silver Belt was meant to stop this sort of confusion , nonetheless Wilder is in big trouble with Breazeale and Whyte and I can see Wilder getting grounded out quickly and his inability in negotiations will make him obsolete in 2 years . No contracts or way forward for Wilder , no boxing fundamentals , no respect for his opponents or peers in boxing , honestly what has changed for Wilder since 2 years ago ???? Nothing!! still suspect , still stubborn , all hope no substance . Lesson to be learned from Wilder's career for any boxer , you need to strike while the irons hot .
Usyk is better than Whyte and Breazale, if he beats Takam in better fashion than AJ did then certainly he deserves to fight him, the only question about Usyk is whether he`ll be able to take a heavyweight punch, P4P he`s a match for almost anyone.
