It would have been closer but May would still have taken it.

 

Mayweather's peak was also in 2009, people forget that, he would've still beaten Pacquiao. It just would've been closer

 

It's hard to disagree with, sure. But round about this time Pacquiao looked incredible. Like he was from a different planet.

Obviously FM always had the fundamentals over him, but Pacquiao had something special as a fighter.

Mayweather ducked him 'til he realised that his speed and reflexes had dulled a little. And he'd suffered a poleaxing knock out to boot.

YES! I know Mayweather was passed his prime too, but being passed a physical prime affects a fighter like Pacquiao much more than a Mayweather type.

 

Ain't **** changed. PBF would have always been a stylistic nightmare for Pac and beats any version of him. I contend that the 2009 version of Pac would have been beaten even easier than the 2015 version because that version was far more limited flawed and reckless while the older Pac was less reckless could counter had much more responsible defense and a higher ring IQ and less one dimensional.

 

For sure right on the Stylistic Nightmare!! Styles make fights and this is always on Pac's best day a bad match up for him,, It just is what it is!

 

PBF never ducked him that is a myth. It was Pac who turned down the fight and ducked PBF because of testing who then went off and fought Clottey.

 

Prime Pac would of overwhelmed Floyd and stop him late tko round 9 but a possible ko also he was to strong had too much stamina and had to much power Floyd himself admitted this "My health comes first "

Floyd waited until Pac declined because Pac's style would decline faster then floyds as Pac relies on aggression and offence more then Floyd

Pac after the cotto fight faught Margo and that took a lot out of him after that he started to decline then he fought mosley/clottey/then he got knocked out cold before Floyd wanted to fight him

bottom line Floyd fought him at the right time

 

Pac would've stopped Floyd in 2009

 

Pac was on steroids in 09. That is why this fight didn't happen

Same result regardless of the year. Taking a time machine back doesn't only benefit Pac, Floyd gets sharper and a better puncher as we go back as well. Small chance in 2009 he sleeps Pac before JMM gets the chance.
