Frankie Gavin is obviously a bit of a pudding but only because of his poor attitude and application to a 12 week training camp. However, skills wise he is absolute top drawer. Obviously, nobody is going to get anywhere near Lomachenko for quality but Gavin will surely have offered the kind of sparring where he’d have asked questions and frustrated Crolla.

Ye, I thought the 100k sounded low.
Sureley Eddie would of got ant the fight over her if the purse was so low.

Let’s be honest it didn’t matter who he sparred! How good or bad there’s just a gulf in natural ability that couldn’t be shortened.

Agreed. There’s hardly anyone at the moment who could cause him problems...Mikey Garcia, Teofimo Lopez, Gervonta Davies maybe. He would outbox most of the lads at 140 but as we saw with Garcia there’s a limit to how far you can push it. Maybe Taylor could hurt him, Prograis...I dunno. He should just stick to 135 and below and just dominate it.

Hard to watch that. Crolla tested himself and came up incredibly short but you can't fault the guy, his attitude is first class and he's a great bloke.

Are Lomachenko's gloves sponsored by Cadburys Creme Egg?

lmao. "Anything can happen in boxing", "Is this his night?" "Are the stars alligned"?

I hope the £100k or whatever it was was worth it, the aftermath of that KO looked like one of those street fight victims where someone gets cracked then hits their head on the pavement. Brutal.

Amongst many things, that triple or quadruple jab fence Loma did to back Crolla up was utterly sublime, I need to watch the fight again. You could analyse it for days and still not pick up half of what Loma does in there.

Watched the fight this morning and have to say for the first time in my life I found it uncomfortable to watch, I just hope he was well compensated.

Loma bust his right hand. His achilles heel appears to be injury.

Garcia isn’t going to want any of that after the beating he took from Spence, Garcia vacates and probably moves up, Loma takes Commey’s belt while Campbell picks up the vacant strap. Then in 2020 it’s Loma vs Campbell PPV in the UK. Guaranteed.

Surely not on PPV? That would flop massively.

Did he only get 300k for that? I’m surprised he took the fight for that much. He probably could have made double that headlining a sky card on a Saturday night? Lbh he was always going to be on a hiding to nothing. There’s daring to be great and there’s just being delusional. When he fell flat on his face and the ref just stood there staring at him ffs.
