Not so sure anyone who beat Foreman could be called a fraud bit unfair. That said Louis by mid round KO
Tommy throws his left well, but any left hook is open to a cross and Louis was unbelievably accurate and excellent at getting them over people's arms and through guards. Tommy started well and Louis tended to fire back if someone hurt him early Louis KO early after tasting a left hook or 2
Poor Tommy...services will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In lieu of flowers...please make a donation to Steroids Inc. Thank You.
Louis is far greater obviously, but Tommy would have a puncher's chance. Much of Tommy''s appeal in the 90's was based on the fact that he was an exciting puncher and brawler who happened to be white and who had also appeared in Rocky V. He got a lot of hype off that so yes, he was a marketing man's dream back in the day. Tommy was still a pretty good addition to the HW ranks in the 90's for all his flaws. He met Mercer, old George, Ruddock and Lewis among others and while he didn't win them all, he had the stones to get in with them and fight them. Heck, Iooking back, I respect him than Bowe who avoided most of the real dangerous men back then. Tommy was good value for money. Back to the hypothetical fight. Joe likely blitzes Tommy inside 3 or 4 rounds after being dumped by a left hook himself.
Tommy was a beautiful offensive fighter. Really fun to watch. He had poor stamina, a poor chin and poor defense. Louis would crack that chin early.
I was banned for pointing out that Kelly Pavlik might like Tyson Fury because he's also a bald, paunchy, recovering alcoholic of a certain complexion. I was told this statement was racist.
Tommy can punch. Louis can punch better. Tommy is quickly forced to an outside game after feeling Louis’s punches in the first. Louis still finds his target rather easily. Beating Tommy to the punch with ridiculously timed counters. Tommy soon finds himself helpless in avoiding Joes punches and gets knocked out in the mid rounds.
The Duke would come out firing. However is met with immediate resistance by the Brown Bomber. Louis ko the Duke in the 2nd rd after multiple knock downs before he is counted out.
