Is it too early to compare Lomachenko to all time greats?

I think he’ll be fighting Berchelt soon. Top Rank already talking about it. Lomachenko will fight Commey next but Berchelt will be a fight or two later.

Loma has already re written boxing history. So yes he can be considered a ATG.

Having followed his career from before his first fight, I have no doubts he's a great fighter.

At the same time, I feel like most casual boxing fans overrate him.

You can not compare Fielding to Loma.

Sounds like you’re not hung up on the modern era at all...

It’s rare to see a fighter improve after the age of 31. I feel people who are still skeptical owe him a second look, as he is very special. Having said that, I also feel he falls short against the truly exceptional talents, and he would lose if matched with even recent greats like Mayweather.

I would favor Floyd but this would be an epic battle. 2 of the smartest, craftiest and most adaptable fighters in recent memory. This could make even Floyd fun to watch.

He has got ATG skills there's no doubt about that and has a great resume for the amount of fights he has had but you have to put it in to perspective.

The kids had hundreds of fights with the best amateur record of all time. He's not some novice working his way up through the ranks, he's an experienced veteran at fighting.

I would put him in with anyone in history around his size, he's that good.

Not wanting to, Kovalev was robbed in their first bout.

Lomo has accomplished far more than Kovalev.
