I’ve got a feeling it’s either going to be Ortiz or a rematch with Joseph Parker.

Oh bull. Klitschko and Lewis was a last minute replacement, and you just LIKED that post.

But Joshua-Usyk on six weeks notice is idiotic? (Pick a lane.)

Joshua and Usyk are in their primes. Both are training for fights in the US seven days apart. All the orgs would love it. The fans would love it.

Both could fight each other on June 1 at Madison Square Garden in New York.

That would be a BIG EVENT.

Nobody cares about Mike Hunter. Nobody cares about Takam.

They will still be prime next year, and they won't make it difficult to get the fight done.

From a business and promotional perspective it is a terrible replacement. Hunter is the disposable one, Usyk is a unified champ, now number 1 WBO Heavyweight contender. That is a fight that will generate high revenue, and is it's own event... not be be cobbled together in 6 weeks.

Cobbled together in six weeks? It's the Mecca of Boxing. Supposedly, it's already sold out. (That's what Hearn said.)

Stage an EPIC all-time great fight there.

Why put Usyk against Takam in Maryland and Joshua vs. Hunter in MSG ... when you can put Joshua vs. Usyk at MSG and throw Hunter vs. Takam on the undercard?

    Joshua-Usyk main event ... Hunter-Takam undercard.

    That sounds more appropriate, right?

On what planet is that not a good idea?

On Planet Earth where you already have MSG booked with 17,000 tickets sold and you can throw in a late replacement and book MSG again next year for Usyk (or wembley)

And have TWO MSG events instead of just one.

What kind of generation of fighters do we have, that would say no to huge money and a shot at heavyweight crown on home soil.

Maybe you should remove your LIKE from the Lewis-Klitschko post. Because you're clearly full of it.

"Oh, Lewis-Klitschko was so 'old school.' I 'love it.' Why aren't fighters like that anymore? Everyone's afraid of Joshua."

Hey, Joshua and Usyk are prime, both fighting in the U.S. days apart, both have the same promoter, fight on the same network, and are fighting NOBODIES, why not match them now that Joshua's nobody fell out?

"YOU'RE AN IDIOT! Only six weeks? That's CRAZY!! AT MSG. That's no place to hold a big fight. It's better to book a nobody Usyk beat from Usyk's undercard against Joshua and then MAYBE they can do it someplace next year."

What a clown you are. Honestly.

I feel like I'm wasting my time talking to you. I think I'm going to put you on ignore now. You talk out of both sides of your mouth.

If you were around when Lewis and Klitschko was signed, you'd have been arguing against it. Obviously.

He should step up and take the challenge since a fight with AJ will boost his profile and make him a house hold name. A loss won't do him any harm.
There used to be an unwritten rule in boxing that you never turn down a title shot. The guy just doesn't want to take a pasting thats all. :nusenuse:

Well, they fit right in with the fans who argue that it's better for Hearn to pull Mike Hunter (who Usyk beat) off Usyk's undercard to fight Joshua rather than have Usyk fight Joshua at MSG.

I'm 5'10 190lbs and would absolutely jump at the shot, and wouldn't lay down either. I'd fight my ass off until my head was jettisoned into the third row by Joshua. LOL.

Vitali hopped in with Lennox on 2 weeks notice, numerous other fighters in countless weight classes have done the same.

    Welp....
