If Lennox and Vitali (who were scheduled to fight completely different opponents) had the balls to face each other on a 2 week notice, why cant Joshua fight wilder or fury? At the very least he should pick a top 5 ranked opponent like ortiz or whyte. No excuses, i dont want to see him digging up some c level fighter like arreola or Browne.

Vitali had already signed to fight Lewis later that year before Johnson pulled out, so there was never any real obstacles for Lewis to make the Vitali fight because Vitali had already agreed to fight him. Joshua is in a different situation, he had offered the fight to Wilder and Fury and both turned it down to fight each other, only for Fury to pull out and Wilder to turn down another even more lucrative offer from DAZN. So him suddenly getting them to fight him now is unlikely to say the least. So the comparison is a poor one. If Vitali had ducked Lewis and then agreed the fight on short notice then you could compare these 2 situations but he didn't Vitali had more balls than Wilder and Fury put together.
This era had potential, but its turning out to be even worse then Klitschko era. Too many pussies and steroid abuse. Maybe next wave will be better.
