    It's Hatton, you don't need a thread to tell you that. He sold 56,000 for a fight with Lazcano and took 35,000 across the pond.

    I think Hatton and Calzaghe have a similar number of fans, but in the mainstream Hatton is a much bigger name, because he markets himself better.

    I think Bruno was really popular because he was able to take defeat well, something which most Brits tend to like - as was Henry Cooper.

    Hattons got the Manchester footie yob type fans(Like Oasis have).A few fighters would have that following if born in the same place and caught the Manc zeitgeist.

    Among boxing fans Calzaghe would come top of a favourite fighters list but Hatton has transcended boxing and become a mainstream celebrity on the same level as Naz. Half the country actually believed he was going to knock Mayweather out!

    Haye already divides opinion. Some do not like brash characters and arrogance but these people fail to appreciate his humour imo. I love the guy and hope he does well at Heavy.

    Lennox was never overly popular due to fighting in the States alot on American primetime and PPV.
