Mikey pulled a no mas against Salido.

To sum it up: I think Khan gave the best that he could. Judges gave him only one round in the official scorecards before the stoppage, Crawford was way too much for him, his team saw an opportunity with this low shot and tried to take advantage from it. I couldn't see him winning anyways so...

I didn't respect it. I thought it was his way out since Salido was putting too much pressure on him, and Mikey was about to crack. What, he's the first fighter to ever break his nose?

I just checked a video, the first reaction of the referee was right, he gave a timeout. Then the quality is bad and can't see, someone is showing up and talks to the referee saying that someone wants to stop it. And the referee stopped it.

Mikey pulled another one against Spence when he made the conscious decision to just try and make it to the final bell as opposed to actually trying to win the fight. Pulling one no mas is enough to get you hung, drawn and quartered on the mean streets of Mexico, god knows what they'd do to a Mexican fighter over there if they pulled one x 2 lol

I've only seen it once so I'll need to see it again. If I'm wrong I'll hold my hands up and admit to it. But I do think Virgil was genuinely concerned for Khan and thought the low blow took a lot out of him.

There is a highlight video on youtube, you can see it there. I just read that at the press conference Virgil said he talked to the doctor and told him to stop the fight. The doctor went to the referee and told him to stop it. The referee did fine, he was talking to Khan and giving him a break in the corner.

OK thanks. Like I said though, I do think Hunter could see the low blow took a lot out of Khan and it was probably a combination of that in addition to the punishment Khan had taken prior to said low blow and the direction he felt the fight was going that lead him to pull him out.

Absolutely, I don't think his corner had any hopes to get a win after seeing the first 5 rounds. Khan wasn't going to survive till the 12th. It was an act where they could get a double win - first Khan didn't get his ass beaten and second he could've won after a DQ. Happily the second one didn't happen.

The funny thing is Hunter allowed Angulo to take about 1000 bombs against Clenelo and blew a gasket when the ref called it off lol

WTF it's not a fact that Khan quit at all. He was recovering from a clear low blow and wasn't given the full 5 minutes. A trainer asking a fighter if he's OK during the 5 minutes and the fighter saying he's NOT OK doesn't mean he quit. If that's the case then every time a fighter gets hit low and doesn't tell the ref to continue right away he's essentially "quitting". Khan was in pain, being in pain after getting hit in the nuts and trying to walk it off and being asked if you're OK and saying no I'm not does not equal "quitting".

And if that's quitting, then what do you call all of Bernard Hopkins theatrics, like in the RJJ rematch for example lmao?

You know what, Khan hurt his hand too vs Crawford, he may have broke it, didn't Khan get that hand surgically repaired which was a lot of the reason why he took so much time off over the last few years? But Khan didn't quit after he told his corner that he hurt the hand, he still kept fighting. So stop trying to act like Khan just quit at the first sign of adversity. He's never been known to take the easy way out. He was hit low, and it looked to be hard maybe not right in the balls but definitely in a bad area, near the bladder, he looked legitimately hurt and needed 5 minutes to recover. He never got those 5 minutes though, he never gave up, all he did was admit he was hurt when he was ask if he was. And if he said he was OK to Virgil the ref probably would have started the fight right away given how he was pressuring Khan to re-start the fight and he needed more time to recover as he deserved per the rules.
