As an elite level professional athlete there is a reasonable baseline chance that he is doping or has previously been doping.

There are circumstantial factors such as his appearance, the large gains in muscle mass, and the fact that some of his peers have made thinly veiled accusations against him. Historically, these factors give reason to move him up the suspicion index.

There is of course no hard evidence that he has ever been doping, unlike many other fights who have actually been popped.

Lance Armstrong is of course the most famous proponent of the "never failed a test" defence.

Which turned out not to be true anyway.

True although it’s worth considering that due to his wealth, Joshua will also have access to the best quality stuff. Miller sounds incredibly low IQ he was probably buying his stuff from “Big Dave” in the locker room at his bodybuilding gym with absolutely no plan in mind. If he was smart he would have tapered off when the fight was signed and testing commenced.

He is 100% doping, as is Wilder as is all these top elite sportsmen.

For somebody to get caught woth that much in their system shows how easily they thought they could get away with it.

He was training with Flex Lewis and his other bodybuilder buddies at the Dragon’s Lair gym so probably got them there...

Depends on what he has eaten lately, did he have beans or gravy with his cFC, because you will certainly fail something if you eat that crap!!

Or did he eat broccoli with chips, that is sure to bring a fail somewhere!!

Or maybe he just drinks sea water and all that salt is good for him.
    Either way....

    WHO gives a flying fcuk.

So how did Clenelo fail the test? Surely he has the best team money can buy?

Joshua was a former drug dealer and he wasn’t small time which is what is commonly told in the media. Despite having no job, and having no formal academic qualifications, Joshua had managed to get a Mercedes Benz.

He’s clearly got links. Also his quick trips to Dubai after a fight does raise suspicions as well. Joshua is clearly a pro at avoiding getting caught. Joshua’s physique has been the driving force behind his success And endorsements, so don’t underestimate the lengths someone would go to protect those 8 figure paydays

There could have been something going on behind the scenes between golden boy and the powers that be, meaning Golden Boy needed to swiftly be put back in their place with a wee drug failure.

This is the only explanation I can think of, and I’m confident it’s close to the reality of the situation. Brown envelopes are of course exchanged to cover up the use of drugs by the top earners in the sport.

People get complacent, they make mistakes.

Armstrong ran the most sophisticated doping programme sport had ever seen. He also casually kept vials of EPO next to cartons of milk in his fridge.

But that tells me that the testers aren't in the back pocket of the best fighters.

Of course he’s doping. The difference is he has top doctors/scientists helping him dope, not a DIY job like Miller.

No different to all the team Sky cycling team, everyone knows they’re all doping but the science and drugs they use are years ahead of what testers can detect.

There are a lot of jealous people out there who hate AJ so much that they have to start making stories up just to put him down. AJ can get tested anytime 365 days a year and has never failed so how can people say he is a drug user. People who think he has this secret enhancing drug which the system cannot detect is crazy and they obviously have no idea about medical science in the world today. Yes sportsmen like Lance Armstrong got away with it for years but the technology today is so far more advanced. The other people who think Matchroom are paying the drug system to keep AJ clear are also so deluded. Do people honestly think matchroom would risk a multi million pound company by risking getting caught. I dont think so.
It's just a sad state of affairs when people hate or are jealous of a sportsman so much that they have to make up lies. AJ is a great heavyweight champion who has done great things for boxing especially in the UK and it's a shame people cannot just enjoy what he is doing instead of being negative all the time. His haters are just waiting for him to lose so they can say 'I told you so' but for me, he is the best heavyweight out there and hopefully he can get the big fights soon to unify the titles drug free.

It's OK saying the testers are one step behind but the punishment is not strict enough.

If you get busted it should be a lifetime ban, the risk should be way bigger than the reward.

I also think testers should act up on a teams suspicions if they suspect their rival is on something.

All fighters say in the top 10 or 20 should send samples in at certain points all year round.

There’s no such thing as a ‘legal high’.

Taking ‘bulking up powder’ as good as steroids? Come on pal, they are not even similar. The powder will contain protein, creating, carbs, it’s just food.

Steroids aren’t food, they enhance you more than any food could do. Stamina, repair, strength. Fat loss, muscle retention etc.
