Do people honestly think Teo Lopez has a chance against Loma?

Linares better than Lopez, holy ****.
Obvious fan that's clueless on fighters levels.

Teo ,right now operates on a level Linares isn't ever nor was ever to operate that highly.

Name 1 thing Linares does better than Teo getting tko'd is the ONLY answer

At this stage Loma probably ruins Lopez. Teo after 13 fights is beautifully poised to start stepping up the quality of opponents. The only reason for him to take Loma in the next year or 2 would be if he can't make 135 and wants some big money before going to 140. I like Teo and he does have a punchers chance b/c of his speed and power but I don't want to see him become the 135 El Ferroz.

No chance. He will get picked to pieces and lose possibly by stoppage. That being said he will be a better fighter for it.

Linares is indeed a higher level boxer than Lopez, at least at this moment. He is a three division champion and prior to his defeat to Lomachenko, he was unbeaten in his 13 fights. And he was in fact a Ring Magazine Lightweight champion.

He might be in the downhill of his career, but there is no doubt that Linares is an elite and classy fighter.

I hope Loma does one of those backflips when he stops him.

Handspeed, footwork, and combination punching are clearly for Linares.

Lopez is a fine fighter, but he takes too long to get set to throw on his target and needs them in front of him to land his heavy shots. It works beautifully on straight line fighters and guys who will come to him. It's not going to be pretty with Loma's movement, volume, and angles.

Linares' strengths were better suited to giving Loma a tough night. Lopez has got a hail Mary shot that a huge counter lands, but that's about it IMO. I'd still like to see it because he is a top young talent and people need to see the difference in levels to appreciate it. Ideally, he'll get a title first because a unification fight between the two would be huge. If not, it's a fight that's still interesting.

He's quicker for a start. Better footwork and jab. Teo is far from a complete boxer. And my point is that Teo is a prospect and not a better win than the number 1 lightweight champion who has a decent résumé

Teo stops Linares and Crolla right now at age 21. Very impressively!

But they'd still say isn't as good bla bla bla.

    Footwork, speed, combinations, resume etc.

Teo is absolutely nothing, a flat footed plodder that telegraphs and loads up on everything. He can get away with it now against atrocious opposition but when he steps up to fight contenders he better have some wrinkles to his game or he is going to lose before he can ever cash out on a big name. There is absolutely nothing at all special about this guy as far as I can see. Yet he is calling out Lomachenko, Spence, Garcia. His dad has blown smoke up his backside and he’s on track for a heavy fall. Remember this post.

Based on? If Tatli can land on Teo with ease then Linares wouldn’t have any problem.

Linares is no way better the T LO. He stops Linares.

Linares is going to get a beating and you know it.

Crolla as well. Tatli hit him but who won?

Linares won't have problems hitting T LO.

But the big problem for Linares is when T LO hits his face and body.

I don't think LINARES can withstand the punishment.

A prospect getting touched by Tatli, a prospect who has glaring deficiencies in his boxing game, a prospect who is yet to fight a contender... versus the pound for pound number one fighter, who is an absolute phenom and isn’t getting touched by the champs that he is making quit/knocking out?
If we can’t predict that one we can’t predict anything. Let the kid develop and prove something. He is already saying that he’s going to move up in weight soon so I don’t expect the Loma fight to ever happen.

Linares is fragile but still levels better than anyone Teo has fought. All boxers get knockouts against the scrubs they fight as they come up. Teo is a big 135 so his power is also exaggerated against these trash cans he is fighting for highlights. He looks like a puncher at the moment but so do many fighters at his stage, with the knockouts drying up as they approach the world level. The most troubling thing about Leo is that he is getting tagged at this level, and not looking noticeably more skilled than the guys he is facing. That’s why I’m almost certain he is going to get Lacy’d as soon as he fights anyone. I don’t view him as a serious threat to anyone, I’d pick Commey to beat him based on what I saw against Tatli.
