See you are practically admitting the decision was suspect saying Hogan would NEVER get a rematch in Australia

It’s reminiscent of the Korobov vs Charlo robbery (though Korobov won that fight wider IMO).

2 ascendent stars who are obviously very valuable to their promoters, losing most rounds closely enough to be able to avoid charges of corruption. Both would have been major upsets - so the competitive nature of the fight was used as a smokescreen to mask the real narrative.

I’m actually appalled at how the Korobov robbery was covered in the press. Money talks I guess.

It wasn't just a robbery on the cards. Did you know they were not post fight tested? And Mungia's team were snooping on the scored at the WBO table and were not stopped?

Yeah I read that earlier, just hadn't commented on it. Not shocking in the least, there's no low the scumbags at GB won't stoop too evidently.

Yea, its kind of mind blowing. The WBO are giving Mungia a pass on the dope testing. Like wtf? I searched for who was the testing agency and could not find it. I'm guessing it is not VADA since its GBP.

Most gbp fights the testing is done by Oscar himself.

Looking forward to the WBO re-score in this one. The credibility of the WBO as a legitimate sanctioning body goes on the line when they do it.

It will be good to see the fight scored by five genuinely neutral judges. Hogan clearly didn't get that the first time around.

The outcome of the re-score can't change the result of the fight, but it could get Hogan a rematch or install him as the mandatory again which would secure him another shot at the title even if Mungo does a runner to middleweight.

No, I meant exactly what I said: That it was a close fight I could see being scored either way.

My main issue is with those howling it's a robbery. A fight with close rounds determining it should not be classified as robbery.

And, of course, no chance that the Mexicans will go to Aus. They aren't dumb. Bigger fish to fry for more dollars.

Just because rounds are close doesn't mean a robbery can't take place. If non money fighter a narrowly wins 12 rounds against monied fighter b then that's the result that should be recorded. If each round is instead scored for monied fighter b, that's a robbery.
