Who would have a better chance against a prime Vernon Forest? Crawford, Porter, Spence, or Thurman?

what fights did you see all these mistakes and evidence of stamina problems? im not even going to ask about the durability issue, the guys made of iron.

 

Spence and Porter beat him.

Thurman gets wrecked. Brook probably loses, but not as badly.

 

Spence isn't very efficient in the ring. He didn't pace himself well in the Cruz fight and showed he was a complete sucker for the straight right hand. Spence also doesn't move his head.

Spence's head is always in the same spot and his upperbody movement needs work. Brook was landing straight rights and flush shots straight to the body way too easily. He had a broken fighter like Brook in front of him and almost lost. After the Brook fight his handlers have continued to match him soft for reason. If Thurman was landing those flush right hands he'd put Spence to sleep. At this point I also think Danny Garcia would also beat beat Spence, since Spence is very easy to hit and isn't quick on his feet, since Danny struggled with good movers.

 

Spence and Crawford would beat Forrest.

Crawford or Spence beat Vernon.

Vernon knew how to beat Shane. Keep him on the outside and just tie him up and not let him work on the inside. I also thought Vernon woulda gave Oscar trouble. That’s why Oscar never fought Vernon. Spence and Crawford are versatile enough to beat Forrest.

 

Porter not skilled enough to be in the conversation really. Ditto Garcia.

Spence has the doggedness, physical strength and style to walk through fire and bring the fight to Vernon hard. Tremendous fight it would be.

Crawford has some great skills. Not sure how he deals with that jab though. I don't like what I saw of him handling that jab from Benavidez at times......and Vernon Forrest and Benavidez are worlds apart.

 

I dunno how effective Forrest would be against a southpaw. Plus Spence and Crawford are superb southpaws. Forrest definitely poses a danger for both though.

I'm 100% positive that Forrest is NOT losing to those scrubs Thurman and Porter.

 

We'll just have to wait and see.

 

I don’t think most thought he could lose to that “scrub” mayorga. I think porters swarmy rough style could’ve gave Forrest lots of problems.

 

I loved forrest too, but that's going way too far. Forrest never ever lasts with Spence and porter and dsg catches him too many times.

Forrest is already becoming far greater than he really was. Soon he'll be an ATG on here.
