Who would have a better chance against a prime Vernon Forest? Crawford, Porter, Spence, or Thurman?

Thurman is more proven than Brook is though. Also, Spence may develop into an ATG, since he’s still young, but at the moment he’s far from a complete fighter. That said he did show some improvement in the Garcia fight.

 

Vernon was good, but not unbeatable. Mayorga shows that getting him out of his rhythm. He was better than Hearns. And Williams had the southpaw style and was tall. I think Vernon beats Thurman in a close decision and edges Porter also.. And probably Crawford and Spence edge him in a decision.

Not sure Danny would have got beat up. The version of Danny I saw against Granados would do something to Forrest. Remember Mayorga messed him up. The reason Forrest beat Mosley is because of better fundamentals and jab.

The Mosely that Forrest beat, would have likely KO'd, Thurman, Porter, and Spence. Nobody that is getting hurt by a shopworn and weight drained Brook, is beating Forrest. Forrest does everything better than Brook, and is taller, with better legs.
