Tyson is fun, but not one HW made my 10 picks which can fluctuate. The one constant is HW’s in general do not excite me but Tyson would be among the ones who do! He is a fair shout/choice either way

Outside of 1 LHW Matthew Saad Muhammad my picks were all below Lightweight which is where I find boxing to be the most exciting! Sorry for not picking Iron Mike

Seems people are a bit reluctant to state the obvious one.

    1) SRR - the combinations, the meanness, the movement. I've watched what's available of him countless times. That sequence leading to Turpin's TKO all the way to Ray walking to neutral corner literally still gives me chills. The clip I watch has Rocky Marciano commentating and it's just beautiful.

    2) Jose Napoles - smooth! He just oozes class, and I never tire of that subtle shuffle (Lee Wylie breaks it down so well).

    3) Pernell Whittaker - superb defense, often underrated offense (threw close to 1000 against Nelson and McGirt the 2nd time). Wonderful jab and ring generalship.

HM: Roberto Duran, Lomachenko, Kid Gavilan.

Loved the whole post. But Kid might be the most underrated fighter O.A.T. he's great to watch and has an excellent résumé. His style was great

As far as technical appreciation goes there's just so many that I can watch all day and be mesmerized by their brilliance.

Ricardo Lopez, Alexis Arguello, Yuri Arbachakov, Orlando Canizales, JMM, Sumbu Kalambay, Mike McCallum, Pernell Whitaker, Roberto Duran, Donald Curry, Salvador Sanchez, Eder Jofre, James Toney, Miguel Lora, Mark Johnson, Harold Johnson, Joe Louis, Ezzard Charles, Gilberto Roman, Jose Napoles, John Conteh, Alberto Davila

Recently it's been Roman Gonzalez and Vasyl Lomachenko

Great picks all, Lads. Nicely done. I always liked watching Bobby Chacon as well. And I'm over the moon that so many chose Johnny Tapia.

I’ve really enjoyed Chocolatito and Lomachenko too. Crawford has been a modern favorite too. I love how his brain works and he’s complete. I dig Juan Francisco Estrada too. I’ve loved watching him and can’t wait for tomorrow night.

I think Gavilan gets his just due and generally always has. If you want a strong candidate for most underrated fighter perhaps look no further than another Cuban Welterweight by the name of Luis Rodriguez.
