I'm confused... Ortiz team now taking the blame and Ortiz himself would have taken the offer? So what's the holdup now, Joshua as far as I know still has no opponent, so can't this fight still be made?

    Exactly.

I'd say Ortiz has missed the boat. (no pun intended viva la revolucion)

It's a bit weird really. It may be that Ortiz's promoter is refusing to make a deal with Hearn now, and Ortiz, Jay Jimenez and Al Haymon are powerless to do anything about it.

I personally thought Hunter would be the favorite , I had a little Poll which ended yesterday and it was a straight 50/50 between Ruiz and Hunter , so I'm not gonna complain about Ruiz getting it as half the Forum wanted it .

Greed when you're in a weak negotiating position is bad business. Ortiz is not in a position of strength here. He gets the offer to fight for the #1 spot in the world, he should take it NO MATTER WHAT. If its $5 million of $3 million does not matter. Why risk things by asking for $10 million? That's ludicrous.

Maybe another fight between AJ and ??? has been made and this is why Ortiz's team are now saying this . Trying to save face to then say AJ is ducking Ortiz and we were serious . Honestly expect an announcement in 3 hours or less .

Okay so what's the big deal? Joshua still has no opponent and apparently Ortiz wants the deal that was offered to him 5 days ago. Is Hearn saying that ship has sailed? And if that's the case then their plan C better be equivalent to Ortiz.

If Ortiz loses this fight that's all on him. Not only did they turn down the deal they the went public and tried to pin all the blame on Hearn.

I understand that. But is Hearn saying that it's now off of the table?

Al haymon and pbc are sticking y their agenda!

Ortiz will lose just like wilder will lose!

Haymon is preventing his fighters from making Floyd Mayweather money in wilder!!!
