Why should it be on the table? Hearn was giving lowball offers wasn’t he? Pretty insulting given the confirmed figures, I’d tell the cowards to go and do one.

Yeah guess this is a wait and see scenario now... I'm just disappointed it's come to this, I was looking forward to the Miller fight, I think it would have been fun while it lasted.

Me too I rated the fight with Miller and thought it would of been a rock'em sock'em affair . TBH Ortiz I thought might sound good but Ortiz is just jerking around or his team is and I lost interest in Ortiz the dude is overrated and no bogeyman . Ruiz and Hunter I can accept .

It should be on the table if it makes business sense. If there is an alternative that will sell just as well then so be it. If I'm Joshua I dont care about Hearn feeling insulted, his personal feelings should not get in the way of business. If anything they now have the leverage to offer slightly less than the first offer just for the inconvenience.

Personally, if I were Hearn, I wouldn't even bother having a discussion with Ortiz's team again. They've proven that they can't be trusted, it would be a mistake to take the risk of trusting them to make a deal now.

If Ortiz and his team stuck with the not enough time excuse they would’ve come out of this looking acceptable.

Instead they made themselves look like complete idiots.

Utterly comical. Although in fairness they are just adding to the comedy that is the heavyweight division.

Im just not sure how much Hearn should be trusting the PBC any more, they have just given him the run around on a number of attempted deals to make big fights for fighters on both sides of this divide. Who is to say they get team Ortiz to beg for the original deal only to pull out the week of the fight with an injury, that really would mess up this event.

Honestly, by now, after all they been playing, i wouldnt put anything past them.

Ive stated this as well ,Hearn needs to forget these PBC/ Haymon fools and so close to fight time. Wouldn't trust them at all in sabotaging Joshua's MSG fight.

He needs to get Ortiz in the U.K at least and make sure these idiots make it to the fight or somewhere in contract any postponement gets terminated automatically .

    The entire story is dumb.

Are we led to believe EVERYONE in the boxing world saw the social meduia rants of low balls and just recently Ortiz is NOW aware of the fight when it WAS 7 WEEKs and TWO days of when we ALL were notified of this scenario ?

Ortiz may be dumb but hes not blind is he ? :pancarta:

    Big stench here.

I think the management is pointing the finger at themselves so they do not offend haymon/pbc.

Ortiz has a limited boxing life ahead of him 7 management taking the blame/heat of Haymon means they can continue their relationship with other fighters in the coming years. they know who is buttering their bread and they are making themselves the patsy instead of the real culprit that killed the deal.

I don't think it does make business sense anymore. Ortiz and his team have given Hearn the runaround and tried to fob him off and make him look bad. Why would you want to work with someone like that? Big risk of Ortiz either pulling out at the last moment or giving a non effort on the night. Hearn's done the right thing approaching smaller hungry guys like Hunter who'd give just as good if not a better fight to Joshua due to the fact that they actually want it and won't just turn up for a paycheck.

This reeks of desperation from team Ortiz. Tell them to **** off. Time wasters. Do they think people will buy this? They never wanted it and all the crying in the world won’t change that fact.

Even so .... all the bs aside. I'd rather see AJ Ortiz than any of the other ootions. It's probably the fight most likely to draw in new subscribers.

I'd still be worried that if Ortiz V AJ get's made somehow , Ortiz might not pass VADA . Therefore if I was Hunter or Ruiz I'd still keep training just in case . Ortiz and his team are completely stupid , your boxer has failed previous tests and now his team are messing around with money asks and now backtracking . Ortiz is unreliable and nothing more than a hype- job .

Multiple excuses for not taking a fight usually means not wanting the fight in the first place.

What are we to believe now? Ortiz first said it was down to his teams decision, now he's saying he's made the choice to fight and his team's decision is meaningless. At least get your story straight.

Even if Hearn sends them the contract, don't expect it to be signed, they'll find a reason not to take it.
