I don't believe so. He is pushing 80 now. The USA amatuer program definitely isn't what it use to be when he was running things.
See here you go All Mouth but know nothing... Now I'm challenging you. You tell me what was in Margarito's wraps that proved they tried to load them??? C'mon you called Tony a cheat now prove it. Richardson is known for complaining but this time he blatantly lied If anyone should be banned its Richardson & Steroid Shane Mosely who was obviously juiced AGAIN!!! Mosel;y is a proven & self confessed juicer
http://www.espn.com/sports/boxing/news/story?id=3897765 Banned for a substance in his hand wraps Now prove to me that Mosely was on drugs for the Margarito fight

Futch and George Benton are my all time favourites for obvious reasons. I do reckon Cus D has a record that's hard to beat. . He took Mike Tyson, Floyd Patterson and Jose Torres from the amateurs to being professional world champions and they all fought in the style Cus taught them. Emmanuel Steward took a lotta kids to the top at Kronk and then showed how canny he was with his work on Lennox and Wladimir. He sure knew how to train a tall boxer to successfully use his height and reach and how to throw a perfect one - two combination. Cuyo Hernandez and Nacho Beristain were both great trainers too. Jackie McCoy was a great mention. I like trainers who have their own style and work with amateurs and beginners as well as top pros. Brendan Ingle from the UK and Ambrose Palmer from Australia both fitted into that category. Cheers All.
A shout for George Francis from this side of the pond. Trained John Conteh, Frank Bruno, John Mugabi, Cornelius Boza Edwards amongst others and took them to world titles, was known for getting fighters into tip top shape.
Actually just saw Adam's in Donaire's corner tonight against Stephon Young. He looked like he is doing well.
It is interesting that Jack Hurley, a great all-around boxing man and an absolute legend during his lifetime, is largely forgotten now, even with John Ochs' great three-volume biography, The One is Jack Hurley, being published within the last few years. A master in many facets of the boxing business, Hurley was generally regarded as a truly great trainer. - Chuck Johnston
The Ruiz win is a big boost for Manny Robles, pushing him way up among modern trainers at the very least. He is the son of the legendary Chato Robles and a top individual, very classy guy.
In that same vein, Larry Foley should also be mentioned, and Daniel Mendoza would be an even earlier nod based off his own innovations and efforts to spread them.
