Regardless of the circumstances behind Donaire reaching the finals. It's definitely a great achievement for him after what he has been through in his career. :chuck:

You still think Donaire beats Tete based on that performance? I don't, Donaire looked slow and was getting tagged by any shot young threw. Reminds me of GGG he can't pull the trigger as sharply as before. Both the same age 36. LOL.

Yeah I do, I think his chin is good enough to hold up long enough to land a few body shots and a left hook up top to do the trick on Tete's frail mandible. If Villanueva can stand up to his shots for 12, Donaire, who has a better chin than Villanueva could too, especially considering it seems like Tete's power isn't as effective at 155 as it was at 115.

Hmmm. Based on that video. Tete looks like a quick and sharp operator. Donaire can't deal with this guys speed and activity. Specially his jabs and quick counters.

Well in Donaire's defense, kind of a whole lot better and faster than Villanueva. And Tete hasn't looked that sharp in quite a while.

I got Taylor over Prograis... Interesting fight too. Southpaw v southpaw..

Prograis looks quite a small 140lber & his eyes are too close together! That is my analysis..

I believe Taylor will put on a career defining win against him.

    You're welcome.

Agreed, I was very much looking forward to Nonito smashing the vastly overrated Tete. Was very bummed when I seen Young as a replacement, as this was one of the fights I was really looking forward too.

When Nonito throws the left hook off the right hand, with his hips loaded and lands clean, he can still ice anyone at 118. Just a freakin thing of beauty. And to still carry that pop at 36....unbelievable. One of my all-time faves. You find find a classier cat in all of boxing. Donaire is the goods. It’s just too bad that wasn’t Tete on the receiving end of that bad boy. That really would have been awesome. I know Inoue is probably next and nobody in their right mind will be picking Nonito, but I think the stars are aligning and somehow, Donaire finds a way. Call me ******ed, but I feel another left hook detonation coming. Flash is gonna win this thing.

Donaire worries me more for Inoue than both Tete or Nery style wise. It wouldn't shock me in the least, and while I'd hate to see that because I love the Monster, but I also love Donaire, so it would be oddly beautiful in a way. If he can pull it off. He needs to retire immediately, his legacy would be sealed as one of the greats, greater than he already is anyway.
