Lartey would knock Price clean out no doubt. Great learning fight for Dubois, got clipped a few times and had to compose himself before taking a tough guy out in brutal fashion.
Whom do you see winning. IMO opinion is slightly favour Joyce just down to Dubois lack of experience and defence. But can see Dubois winning due to power too.
I can't pick at the moment, Joyce is so easy to hit but if he could take the power he will win and Dubois is so inexperienced as he showed tonight slugging with Lartey. In fact I think Joyce wins a shoot out.
Just watched the fight. Was a nice little scrap while it lasted. I like Dubois, he is stiff and rigid but his jab is very good. He can punch and shows some nice skills at times. The little step backs then counters. Also some nice inside work with left hooks to the body and uppercuts mixed in. He has plenty of time on his side also.
It was interesting to watch Dubois react to a bit of adversity tonight, we’ve all wondered what he’d be like if someone hurt him. The disciplined, meticulous, patient demeanour went out the window and he went into full on hulk mode. He showed a good chin too with that shot, credit to him. When he wasn’t losing his s*** swinging for the trees, he actually boxed really well. I was impressed.
Enjoyed the fight. It was the type of fight Dubois needed, Lartey was a good opponent for him. Glad we got to see Dubois take some real punches and he came through it. Lost his composure a bit, but it was exciting to see him in a shootout and he come out on top. He seems like a smart lad and acknowledged his mistakes and will work on them and keep improving. Impressed by young DDD tonight.
Dubois got rocked stood back and worked behind the jab. Didn't clam up and went back to boxing. He was a major learning curve for him and a good test. However I think Joyce is still a big step up. Joyce is relentless and those clubbing hands will drain dubois who won't be the stronger man but maybe the more powerful
Joyce must fancy the fight to be there and watch etc...but DDD might have the beating of Joyce who is so wide open at times and slow.
