What the **** is wrong with you today? Get up cranky, or what?? Honestly, neither guy has a spectacular resume, but all of a sudden AA is superman because he stopped mirandaatsch It was Edison Miranda!!
Go watch it again. the beginning of the end came from a very good straight right. AA did lunge a bit, and that won't work against a top level fighter, but it sure as hell worked against Miranda.
Im not cranky, your just getting a bit upset you have not been on very good form and I am pulling you up about it. I never said he was superman, infact he would lose to most decent defensive slicksters, Kelly aint a slickster he comes at you and has defensive issues. Also if you remember I said I would probably favour Pavlik to win, I am leaning more towards a 50:50 fight now. If it went the distance Pavlik would win and if anybody got stopped it would be Pavlik. You amongst other people are just full of **** when it comes to your nuthuging of Pavlik. Abraham would have to change his style or he would get stopped mid rounds....:nut
Abraham fights 30 seconds out of every round. Honestly, how does he stay in the fight with a guy who works every second of every round without changing that? Abraham goes to the ropes or the corner repeatedly, and that is right where Pavlik wants him. Again, in all honesty, how does he stay in the fight without changing that? Abraham has a very good tutle shell defense, but he is not like Winky, who has freakishly long arms so that he can protect his head and body at the same time. Pavlik has hurt guys BAD and even stopped a few, with both left hooks and lead rights to the body. How does AA prevent that without changing what he does. Personally, I think AA has only one chance to beat Pavlik. It generally takes Pavlik 2-4 rounds to really hit his stride. He starts fast, but does not really find his groove until somewhere between rounds 2 and 4. AA would need to jump on his ass right from the opening bell, and try to force a war on the inside. That would be a very big change for Abraham.
Yeah, it was very much as I expected. Edison bombed away with right hands, got outa position and left himself open for the big counter shots. Arthur covered up, took it on the arms, shoulders and side of the head and came right back compact with combinations of big punches at an open target - big ( but kinda clumsy) right hand and a monster left hook behind it - basically Edison's legs went and that's that... I don't think AA can fight like that against Kelly because AA covers up but there's no head movement, no body feints and no good enough activity while he awaits for the openings. Kelly would stretch those long arms of his, keep up a hard pace and target practise on Arthur until one of those right hands and stiff jabs would get in ( like against Lockett)... Anyway, KP should be aware of what would come back at him and at the high stakes of that fight ( IBF, WBC, WBO 160-pound titles) so he would probably fight cautious, box his way with swift moves and high activity to a 12 round decision. Anyway, the KP-AA fight is the one to make at 160 no doubts about it... Great result for Raul Marquez who should be the next on the line for AA tho.
