* Zac Dunn returning June 28 opponent TBA. * Looks WBSS will still be double header. WBA no 5 Steven Young now fighting against Donaire. * This sounds like a good bout. Ghanian Abraham Tabul is 16 - 1 13 ko with the only loss a 8rd stoppage to WBO top 15 ranked Dilan Prasovic 11 - 0 9 KO . This content is protected * Bilal Akkawy has said he has received advice from Canelo who has told him you can win this fight, you can knock this guy out. Bilal has also said '' Ryder is a southpaw he doesn't move that much but is very solid SMW . Ryder stands has ground and style of boxing suits me. " * This development is a worry. Bilal has said on Twitter his world title fight is no longer on Main Event TV or Fox due to fight schedule. There is a possibility of streaming , waiting on confirmation. * Well worth a listen Episode 19 . First 10 min they talk about Akkawy Title fight and then talk of Tim Tszyu PPV fight and recoup of Hogan and Browne losses. https://player.whooshkaa.com/episode/363267
I heard Jeff Horn v Michael Zerafa in September mentioned today. Good fight for both guys if true. Horn needs rounds & Zerafa has the skills to give them to him. Both are too advanced for Junior Tszyu at this point Tszyu needs to supplement his local campaign with a couple of carefully selected international opponents. Then take on Zerafa & Horn.
* DDP has stated if Hogan hand being handed the dec he could have made upto $ 5 m over his next 3 fights with the bulk of this coming from a all Irish mega clash with Spike O ' Sullivan and the sky rocketing value of being the first fighter to be Munguia. * Joke This content is protected * Jeff Horn will likely return to the ring Aug 31 in Bendigo against Michael Zerafa. The Hornet hopes a victory will lead to another bout in Dec. Rushton has spoken with Golden Boy two weeks ago and discussed a two fight deal leading to Canelo. ODLH has said if Horn won a MW Title they were all for an Aust vs Mexico showdown in Las Vegas. * The Light vs Bam Bam might not being shown on PPV in NZ but it will be in Aust on Epicentre PPV at $ 14.95.
* CMW Gold Medalist Harry Garside has been a busy boy this yr. Competing in Sofia, Sheffield , Helsinki , Belgrade and next in Poland. He has also had training camps at The AIS at Canberra and at USA Olympic Training Centre in Colorado. * Former British UFC fighter Ross Pearson now based on the Central Coast and trained by Jamie Pittman will have his first pro boxing fight on May 15 at The Star. The 34 yr old will be competing at MW. * Results from Melb Sat night. Jai Alexander win pts , Dwight Ritchie win pts and now clears the way to face winner of Tszyu vs Camilleri. Jason Whately winner ko and now will face Victor Oganov at The Timber Yard June 1. * First Haumono and now Bob Mirovic who is fighting another veteran Moses Sorovi 27 July. This brings back memories. I was at Marrickville when Paul Smallman stopped Sorovi in a war. I also remember Paul Smallman warming up in the dressing room as i was preparing for my AM fight at South Sydney Juniors a long long time ago now. * Tim Tszyu has been sparring interstate boxers as he prepares for May 15. * Sportsbet has Ryder $ 1.15 and Akkawy $ 5 . Big difference in experience here. * Jack Brubaker has says the hardest hitter he faced was Indon Larry Siwu. * Aust FW Champ Action Jackson England fights Indon Riva Rengkung May 17. Last Dec Riva went the distance with Luke Jackson. * Aust boxing future looks bright with the upgrade in funding . Jamie Pittman is help building a future overseeing the National Futures Program. This program is active all round Aust with input from all athletes, coaches and state regional future coaches supporting and committed to the program. * Had a look at Fox boxing schedule for May. Two PPV fights but hopeful they will show May 19 Wilder vs Breazeale.
Sorovi?!? Christ almighty..this one must be international waters. I was watching a fight of his on YT only a few months ago and I kid you not Ansett was one of the sponsors. His son is a decent rugby player and he must be in his mid 20's.
LOL Horn and his team are deluded clowns seriously who is he going to pick a belt up off? Jacobs? Andrade? Good luck LOL. 43 year old Mundine and the stripper Zerafa should be great prep for Canelo or GGG. This clown talks more BS than Mundine and Green put together.
Horn did all that he can , can't cee him winning a world title again , his style don't suit gets hit way to much . As for Akkawy he has da style to win more than one world title an achieve more than what Horn has done .
* This is not good news. Unfortunately as i mentioned before Akkawy tweeted his fight wouldn't be shown live and the reason is that the fight with Ryder isn't on the PPV portion of Canelo vs Jacob. The bout will be one of the first on the night , with the dec makers still working out if it will air in Aust. * Two of Aust Boxing legends have come out in support of Akkawy. https://www.sportingnews.com/au/box...hony-mundine-boxing/8j4fldk6x7w113esxk6li2adl This content is protected
* Sandman made a good call on Haumono. '' Its also worth noting that announcement a fight with Haumono & actually getting him in the ring are two different things. " Yep Demsey Mckean is looking for new opponent June 8 Broadbeach . * Same card Aust CW Champ Ben Kelleher is fighting a international opponent Patrick Fergus 14 - 1 11 ko. * Tommy Browne fighting for WBF SWW Title opponent TBA Menangle June 1. * Jayden Mitchell returning June 29 Flemington opponent TBA. * Two fights to be shown on Fox May. IBF / WBA SWW Champ Jarret Hurd vs top ranked contender Julian Williams May 12 and MW Matt Korobov fighting. WBC HW Champ Detonay Wilder vs mandatory challenger Dominic Brezeale May 19 and WBC FW Champ Garry Russell vs Kiko Martinez. This is disappointing as the Cameron Hammond fight was the one i most wanted to watch. This content is protected This content is protected Daniel Lewis one of Aust best prospects.
