I strongly suggest you take a look at any top 15 list, and then come back and say you would pick Wlad to go 0-15 against it.

Wlad should stay retire. If he comes back to fight again, he'll get KO'ed by those hard punchers like AJ and Wilder. He made a large amount of money during his era so why should he take a great risk to get hurt again?

Yes, it was related to that fight, but, at the same time, the words "(so far)" and "to become a champion again" definitely can be considered as indications of a possible comeback.

So, as it usually happens, the truth is somewhere in the middle: it's not "he's back now", but he's definitely been thinking about renewing his boxing career. He just understands how crazy it is, so that's holding him back.

If he does return then it's impossible to say where he is as he hasn't fought in 2 years and is now 43. When he retired I would of had him a close 3rd behind AJ and a fit Fury but now who knows?

At best I'd have him in the top 5, behind the big 3. Maybe he could beat Ortiz who is also old and hasn't looked good recently vs Hammer, he'd still be favourite over an also old Povetkin. Don't think Parker has the tools to beat him, same with Pulev who is old and has nothing to hurt Wlad with. Whyte might be a toss up as Whyte's improved and Wlad is on the slide.

Disappointing, guys like this who are supposed to be intelligent. Ph.D. and all. Why on earth would he bother coming back? Surely he has better things to do at this stage of his life than being hit in the head.

I think if he returns it's simply down to money. While he made millions during his long career, he never made as much as some previous champions like Tyson, Holyfield and Lewis, he's being offered more for 3 fights than he made for most of his title reign. Plus he got divorced and while I'm sure he had a pre-nup he still likely had to make a significant payout as well as alimony for his kid.

Ok that makes sense now. Didn't realise he got divorced. That can cripple a man so if he can earn £££ he may as well take it. Divorce is a killer.

he deserves no ranking whatsoever until A: He comes back and B: he actually beats someone.

He hasn't won a fight since 2015, hasn't had a knockout win since 2014. He is 0-2 (one loss by ko) in his last two fights and is now 43. He is not deserving of a ranking at this time.
