This content is protected Says that Hunter was in the running but they chose not to fight him cause he moves too much, i.e. he is a good boxer and would cause AJ serious problems Instead they went with Ruiz cause he "comes to fight" i.e. will walk straight into AJs right hand
lol the same way he moved and got tagged by Bakole several times? Same way he moved and got tagged by Usyk multiple times? He is not exactly slippery, and standing to trade is clearly part of his genetic makeup. Hunter would have got banged the **** out.
Ever since old Wlad floored him. Tony Dosh PPV has been very tentative with all puddings faced since. Never has one, fleeced so many PPV mugths, by fighting so many puddings
He was more worried about Parker's hand speed than anything, be interesting to see what he makes of Ruiz's. Probably not got the spite to really get to AJ
Well Parker had something AJ wanted badly, and lessons learned from fighting fast moving parker... we want KOs
People really thinking Joshua is ducking Hunter now?!?! Its the big mans debut in America, he wants to put on a great display and say what you want about Ruiz but he will be really up for this and will turn up to fight. People on here taking the pisss because he is "fat" really do need to see some of his fights. He has great hand speed, a good chin and he has got some sting in his punches. I do believe Joshua will knock him out rounds 6-9 but Ruiz will cause him some problems, it won't be a walk in the park for AJ.
If you’re Anthony Joshua and you want to put on a kind of Lewis-Briggs type fight on for MSG then Ruiz is a very good pick. Totally agree with you. There will be no trying to survive in this fight, Ruiz fights like a true Mexican. I believe Joshua will do a job eventually on Ruiz but it will be entertaining.
It's almost like Hearn is bigging up one of his fighters for a future fight with somebody else. Wonder who that could be?
I think Robert McCracken is a really cautious trainer and probably had a plan in place for Miller when they started camp, and doesn't fancy deviating too much from it. MIller and Ruiz both going to come at Joshua. Hunter would not. I believe Ruiz is better than MIller certainly and probably better than Hunter too as a pro. He's not a PPV opponent by any stretch but he's better than Miler who was actually one of Hearn's first choices all along.
Wlad has certainly instilled fear into him, he obviously has self doubts about himself, he knows he is a KO waiting to happen.
