To be fair Chuvalo's dementia could be entirely age related (he is 81) and inevitable as it is to millions of others world wide.

He certainly never exhibited any signs of CTE before this ie slurred speech, tremors, behavioral and personality changes etc

True. He was articulate to a fairly old age. Any dementia he has now is probably age-related.

Truth is, it's a myth that he was taking huge shots at full impact for his whole career. People base it off a couple of fights.
These are just myths, same as flashy guys like Benitez and Toney getting reputations for taking less punishment just because they pulled off some good moves.

James Toney was always kind of hard for me to understand but now when he speaks it just kind of sounds like,

"Sunnamofo cannobuddy beasayina genn gifdatt mufta bud wiffa bendat aineven lissen howeena beetawkin bout wuss goanbeeafta..."

I nominate Foreman as a candidate for least affected. This is the most recent interview I've seen with him and he sounds exactly like he did in 1973, only maybe a bit more cheerful and mellow:
(By the way he looks like he could casually reach over with no effort, eat Larry King alive like a turkey leg and use his femur as a toothpick. :pancarta:)

Wasn't there this drama about his (ex?) Wife and his kids fighting over his estate and he was in a home?

Edit: just looked it up. Yeah he has dementia, unfortunately I was right

Wait, bring me up to speed on Chuvalo. The last i heard after his first wife's suicide and 3 of his 5 kids deaths, he remarried. I actually saw her at an event - much younger than him. And he had 2 surviving kids, a son and daughter. Did his second marriage come apart? Rancor between her and the adult kids?
