Whyte this year has had a bad time. He went from a guaranteed title shot worth Millions to being froze out in about a week.
Then months later hes gone from having no opponent to fighting on PPV in the toughest fight out of any of the top 5 HWs

He should be admired for his will to face the best and in 27 fights he will have faced

    Browne
    Chisora 2*
    Rivas
    Parker
    Joshua

That's like 3 good opponents more than Wilder has

Breazeale is a far more threat to Wilder then Rivas or Parker was to Whyte.

I'm not even sure Parker defeats Breazeales the way he struggles with tall fighters ?

Wilder first actual threat is coming on May 18th.

if he gets a win vs his first actual prime fighter in top 10 he'll have actually accomplished something getting by another puncher . Lol

Should Whyte be praised ? Only if you're content with giving more ammo for guys turning down fights you may want to see in the future and don't mind a very predictable Ruiz vs Joshua fight instead of Whyte.

This is what happens when a capable fighter is hungry. Parker is in the same boat. Neither are afraid to fight the best available and if Parker had beat Whyte then he might be the one in there with Rivas instead.

I admire DW, he'll fight anyone and his resume destroys and embarrasses the current WBC champs.

His fighting spirit after his loss to AJ, fighting name after name with KO after KO

Whyte deserves respect and only idiots deny him it

    #3 Heavyweight right now AJ/Fury/Whyte

Fact is Whyte will face Joshua at some point soon, maybe even this year, but it will happen, and Whyte will get his payday. He is not worried about that, and Joshua will want to make his money off Whyte too.

Whyte has been counted out several times, in fact, if this Rivas fight took place 2 years ago everyone would be laughing at Whyte as usual counting him out. Now that Whyte has proven himself, and the doubters wrong several times, Whyte gets the acknowledgement he deserves, which I've been saying all along.

People acting like Whyte never gonna get the AJ fight/payday again... he WILL get it and it's going to be a crazy ass fight which can legitly go either way and mark my words.... AJ KNOWS Dillian can beat him...

The premise of the thread is off. Browne is worse than everyone Wilder fought since winning the title.

I am interested in the Rivas fight. It’s not a cash grab (Parker, Joshua) or mediocre opponent (everyone else he fought).

Good job for turning down your highest payday by far, a shot at the heavyweight title and revenge on your domestic rival. As I stated in that very thread, he put himself in this position where he has no other choice but to fight a dangerous opponent to keep himself relevant, and he may have to keep doing with the way it's shaping up.

The fact that Whyte is taking this fight for no legitimate reason, no advancement in WBC positioning/mandatory, significant sums of money.... PROVES that Whyte was this fearless warrior ALL along.

Otherwise why risk it and undo years of grafting a 9 win streak since AJ loss when he is so close to a title shot????

Whyte was always that risk taking, fan giving, fighter. Action speak louder than words.

Wilder is ALL talk by comparison, padded record and protected by the US boxing industry, he doesn't deserve bringing up in a conversation on resumes.

Skill? Won a fight against Parker who has 15 years more boxing experience.
Ability? He has the ability to win a fight against any man, he finds the way and he has the will. He doesn't quit and he gives just as good as he gets against any man.

That's testimonial to how flawed a fighter Wilder is not Whyte taking on harder fights
I would agree, but Breazeale is awful at most things, I expect that fight to end in a Parker flurry on the feet, whilst being down on points.
Fury? Ortiz? Both are better than Breazeale despite me thinking Ortiz is overrated and Fury was a failed cherry pick.
    Who Wilder? Or Whyte?
Either way both have wins over top 10 HWs.
Yes he should be praised, the rematch clause was a joke. He knew his worth and stood his ground. I would of course much rather see Whyte vs Joshua, but I'd rather see Whyte get what he deserves in the rematch if he won

Well yes. Fighting the best is the most honourable way of staying relevant isn't it? He didn't like the rematch clause as he's said, Wilder and Ortiz have not got that excuse

I definitely respect his willingness to take on anybody.
