I thought Jacobs edged that fight but I realise i’m in the minority. Jacobs did get put down though and I think Canelo will savagely stop him in latter stages of this fight.
Jacobs needs to keep it as long distance as possible and try and steal a decision , it would be a bad mistake to try and mix it with Canello .Simple plan very difficult to execute.
Impossible to steal a decision against Canelo mate - even if a fighter wins every round, Canelo wins on points.
Same. Think it's going to be a bloodbath after Canelo gets into his stride from the early mids onwards. People are letting all the questionable contract clauses cloud their judgement of just how good is he when stood in front of someone, mano a mano.
It was close but giving 7 rounds to Jacobs is mental IMO. I had the Jacobs fight scored closer than either Canelo fight for what it's worth
At the time I thought Danny may MAY have just nicked it if it wasn't for the KD, but on rewatching on mute, GGG jabbed his head off all night.
As it gets closer this is what I’m edging towards. Probably Canelo via TKO. He looks in unbelievable shape.
He does and i have to question how much he down to PEDs but despite all that and his diva antics in the last few years i do love to watch him box Top top level boxer and these will be his peak years so let's settle back and enjoy them.
Absolutely correct about the first GGG fight and incredibly, one judge also gave him a draw when Floyd boxed his head off in a one sided boxing lesson. Canelo needs to be knocked down every round for the opponent to get a draw.
I need to rewatch it, I’ve not seen it since that night. I was willing Jacobs on so maybe I was a bit Adalaide Byrd in my judgement. GGG deffo won 1st Canelo fight, I gave him 2nd too but no problem with Canelo getting that decision as it was v close.
