Santos Saúl Álvarez Barragán vs. Daniel Jacobs & John Ryder vs. Bilal Akkawy RBR

I can tell it's close from the actual scorecards, which is what they're there for, and from public opinion when I watch the fight I'll tell you my card. But it was a close fight, yes or no?

 

LOL literally didn't even see the fight.

 

No the fight was not close. It was not a blow out like some here expected, and maybe that's where the argument lies, but Canelo beat Jacobs in every department, to state it another way, there is nothing that Jacobs did better than Canelo.

Easy fight to score.

 

The 2nd half was close, the first half was dominated by Canelo. The first round that Jacobs won clearly was round 7. Canelo was putting on a master class performance for the first 6 rounds. You'd know that if you watched it.

 

What rounds did you give Jacobs ?

The fight was ok. It reminded me of Cotto vs Canelo in how they both negated each others offence to the point it became kinda boring.

Canelo found it hard to beak through the giant shield that was Danny Jacobs 200 pound body.

If Canelo had power it would have been a better fight but punching power is an issue for him at this level.

 

Spot on. I can’t see how anyone could have anything other than a canelo win. Thought it was a reasonably comfortable (albeit awkward) fight for canelo. Like you say, he was better in every department.

 

The first 6 rounds were a master class. Canelo put on an absolute clinic .

I also picked up DAZN yesterday after succumbing to the middleweight title pre fight hype. Overall I enjoyed the night of boxing and found great value in being able to watch a big fight for much less than 70+ bucks a shot. I thought Sergio Mora did a good job as the color man, I feel like he had a good grasp of what was happening inside the ring but Brian Kenny was frustrating to listen to, polar opposite of the Latin Snake, wondering if he was paying attention to the action.
